I'll be there!
Speaking of meets and events, is anyone planning on participating in this? http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/forums/showthread.php?p=261613#post261613 (Not sure if there is a thread about it here...)
I went a head and accepted the invitation as it should be pretty fun. Plus, I'm curious to see what kind of route they have in mind for it. C.S. is awfully pretty sometimes. Also, it's free! Yay!

Suba pros are great people to work with...recommended!
+1
I took my car there a while back and even though they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car, they sure tried! Very nice people indeed.

If GFB has different springs, I can get them.
Thanks again for getting that spring for me, Mike. Greatly appreciated. It definitely seems to be better than what I had before.
+1 for 5250 Performance!

Excellent! I spoke to someone at GFB and they said it was part # 6116 and is $12 AUD. If you could get this for me, that would be great!

springs for what BOV? i might be able to source some for you if you knew what brand it was.
One is the AVO BOV that came with the AVO turbo kit for the 2.5RS ('96-'99) and the other is a GFB Hybrid I bought about 1,5 years ago. I heard Flatirons Tuning is a GFB distributor so I'll try to see if maybe they have springs up there too.

Okay. A (hopefully) simple question... Does anyone know where the hell I might acquire different types of BOV springs? My current springs are too strong for my measly 6psi to move the piston so I'm getting crazy compressor surge. I've Google'd, called around, asked anyone who I might think would have an idea and I've gotten nowhere. Maybe even a shop or business that focuses solely on springs? Anything would be a step forward...

anyone know of a good place to get my fenders rolled in Denver? I noticed a little rub action when I hit a big pothole downtown. And i'm definitely not comfortable doing it myself. I'm cool with leaving my car for the workday if necessary.
SUBA said they weren't comfortable doing it.
+1 I need this done as well. However, I'm comfortable doing it myself if anyone knows where I can rent/borrow a fender roller.
-
For sure, man. Just keep posting and there is bound to be a decent meet time/place at some point.
-
Any Colorado Springs folks gonna get together anytime soon?
I'll be down in C.S. this weekend if you wanna try to get something going.

I have had work done on mine and friends cars at Bear Creek Auto Body and Hanks Auto Body South, both did really nice work and the few problems I did have with it they took care of right away. Bear Creek is at 285 Hampden and Kipling and Hanks is Kipling and Belleview
Thanks! I'll check 'em out.

Can anyone recommend any body shops in Denver or surounding areas? I need to get a couple of quotes for a hit and run that happened a while back.
-
Oh poop. If I'd have known I would have gone to the 6th and Wads meet! Shame on me for not being active lately.
-
Well, sorry we missed you guys, we ended up having a 92x / Evo meet. No Legacy's showed up. Perhaps next time.
Yeah, man. Me too. I must be retarded or something. I've been missing so many meets lately due to other stupid sh*t coming up. Seems I have nearly no time to myself at all lately. Next time is a "for sure" though. In fact, next meet anywhere in the Denver area, count me in. I'll ditch whatever I need to in order to make it 'cause this is becoming pathetic...
-
The more the merrier I'm sure. The Saab92x group is tight-knit but small, so if some other car people show up, I'm sure it's not going to be a problem as long as they are somewhat mature. I remember too many meets being ruined by some punk that has to show off that he can do 50mph through a parking lot.
I couldn't agree more. And don't worry, I won't be asking any "punks".

Ok, here are specifics on the Sunday, Dec 20th meetup. We're gonna meet and do brunch here at noon:
Hope to see you guys there.
I'll go! C'mon the rest of you f***ers! This should actually be cool. I've been to this place before. Fun. I know quite a few of the AWDP Legacy owners that live pretty close to there (Starbucks meets) so I'll see if they're interested too. Unless, of course, you want this to be LGT.com users only?

I think im going to spend the extra $$ and go with someone else.
SubieBlkOut - sorry your experience was bad.
It just reinforces the fact that I have lost faith in humanity. lol
- Ben
Haha. I've had some bad experiences going with cheaper pricing on certain things. Honestly, I wouldn't really think that a cheaper glass replacement company's quality and service would be all that different from higher priced places. I mean, the job isn't necessarily brain surgery.
-
For sure. Hit a car wash and test for leaks. Nothing worse than ice INSIDE the glass on a super crappy morning/day. Sorry to hear about the dogsh** installers.
-
Wow! $140 is a great deal if quality of the glass is nice and it has the heating element. I can't believe Safelite quoted 311! I had my windshield replaced last summer and it cost just over $200 (with all new clips and molding.) Be sure to post the results!
-
Anybody know of a good deal for a front windshield?
Mine has a giant crack that I have been pulled over for once already. It has only been on the car for a year!?!?!
One of my neighbors owns Chip Magic on Broadway and quoted me $250 (his whole sale price with the heating element and new trim) from the place that he gets windshields. He also looked at mine and said that it is 'cheap' glass and that his place uses better/stronger glass that should last longer. Anyone have any insight on this. I thought all windshields were created equal?
Check out Safelite. They generally have some of the best deals, will come to you, takes a little less than an hour, and the glass is great.

^LOL... i gotta work
Lies! All lies!
-
Again, let me know if you are wanting to come to the BBQ on the 6th, so we know how much stuff to get.
thanks
I'll go! Not sure how many others are planning to attend. Maybe we can scare tingtang and gg out of their dark holes for an afternoon. Is there anything you want me to bring? Food, other people, etc..? PM with directions and whatnot and I'll see you Sunday. \o/
-
So what's deal just came back from a week long vaca in powell?
Nice. Sounds like a good time. There was a car meet at SUBA Performance this past Sunday. Wasn't sure who all was going to show up. I managed to make it (albeit quite a bit late due to difficulties) and there were some pretty neato cars there. Didn't recognize anyone though so barely spoke to people. Just got a taste of what was out there.
-
Bah. Although, paintballing does sound awfully fun.
-
Anyone here going to the SUBA Performance meet on Sunday? I was going to start a thread, but it seems a little late and I could have sworn there already was one here (Although, I can't seem to find it.)
