Wish I could think so quickly ...

A man boarded a plane with 6 kids. After

they got settled in their seats a woman sitting

across the aisle from him leaned over to him

and asked, "Are all of those kids yours?"

He replied, "No. I work for a condom company.

    These are customer complaints."

NICE... I'm using this at my next meeting as we usually open it with customer complaints!

Anyone else notice the CF: SAE???

I noticed on some other dynos that people had no CF's...I have no idea what role that plays.

He must have one of those hand built cherry picked motors.

My friend had his EVO IX MR with FMIC RAM air intake, Boost controller (21.6 PSI), TBE (high flow cat), and tunned that put down 325 and 316...

  3. I came there and saw a bunch of subaru's. I was taking some photos. I mainly got corvettes though. A few WRX's and some other cars. Didn't see any legacy'd fly by me. Maybe I was too late or left too early?

Must have. We were in heat two and four, and heats can last awhile...

  4. I'm thinking about going, but I thought I heard that there was a high speed autocross at blackhawk, so I'll need to look into that a little bit more first.

Does anyone know how much more track time you get at the test and tune (this Saturday?) Between the two WAI and the black hawk, I think I'm going to make it to at least one event... Hope to see some of you there!

  5. Thanks guys, the more people that come out, the more fun it is. I'm really interested in getting to an actual track like Road America or something to that extent this year at least one time. Maybe a bunch of us can make it?
  6. Did anyone go to this or did it get shut down due to the storms? The storms weren't that bad up here in Port Wash. but I hear further south got pounded.

I went and was scheduled for heats 2 and 4. Well it rained after 2 cars from heat 2 went and thus the event was postponed for an hour and 45 minutes. After that it was terrible (wet track=slow times). I couldn't run anything except for 71 second times (first three runs).

Part of that reason was because on my third run I wasn't looking far enough ahead and came up on a cone that was pointed wrong. I thought I DNF'd so I enjoyed the rest of the track and parked my car. Well I was the last person to run and as I was walking to the bus they announced that I got a rerun. The announcer have a play by play of me as I almost lost in through the slalom twice, but I managed to hold on. As I came to the staging area after my run the announcer exclaimed that I had gotten my best time of the day and was in 3rd place (everyone cheered and it was pretty cool). I finished in third with a 67.491, about .8 away from first.

To answer your question, yes, it was delayed, but as the track dried up everything got much better.

Oh, and there was a 17 Y.O. kid driving his Dad's SPEC B y0! He finished in 5th.

  7. What time and where? I'm interested since i'm looking into new wheels/tiers i might just be ready to beat the hell out of the set i have

Check out the website for further details, but it is at Miller Park and registration is from 8-8:30 (event lasts until 4ish). I'm a little concerned that it is going to rain, but who cares, I'll probably be there anyways.

  8. ZZ...Car looks nice! I can't help but think that the only thing you're missing is a turbo...Hope to see you at some auto X events shortly!

JRFroe, Nice times! I know "James "browning", so it's funny to see that he was that "EVO". As for Eric (driving the Saab), he is was the guy that finished just before me at the last event, he consistently performs well.

Hope to see all of you at some more auto X events soon!

  9. Is anyone going to be at Miller Park for the WAI event this Sunday? I'm going to have a co-driver this weekend, so it should be fun.

Not sure if I'll make it... I was at SCCA at Miller Park last weekend, I finished 4th out of 22!

  10. Wish I could have made it, fishing sucked up north anyways...I'll be there on the 18th for sure, just hope I have a chance to get my new tires on by then...

Looks like you need to replace your fog light bulb!

  11.

Next event in Milwaukee is May 4th.

Not good man... I am going fishin at Dad's cabin for opening weekend and won't be making it to this event:mad:. I should also point out that this event is a "WI autocross event (SCCA?)", not a Milwaukee SCCA so this will not count towards your points with the MKE group.

I will be attending as many Milwaukee SCCA events as possible this season.

On another note, I'm going to be buying tires and I'm leaning towards the Azenis, anyone have a suggestion? JRFROE, where did you pick yours up and for how much?

Anyone know of a good track event? Most of my weekends are already full for the summer, but I wanted to make it out to a real course, anyone interested in a meet at one of these??? I'll see if I can find some good dates and post them up here in the next couple of days...

  12. I was there last sunday also, and it was a blast. And, Matt, it was nice meeting you.

Next event in Milwaukee is May 4th. I think I'm going to try to get some in-car video for that one... I need to come up with a way to mount my camera... I'm thinking I'll try to mount it in front of the rear window, maybe I'll be able to even use the hole for the post of the rear headrest or something.

For sure man, it was good meeting you too-and THANKS for the ride along, it was awesome. I've really been thinking about the tires situation and I'm leaning more towards keeping the stock rims and just getting some nice tires, maybe even before the next event.

Good call with the headrest post, that would be the best idea unless you come up with something real complex...

I'm pretty sure that Auto X doesn't void the warranty, I've asked the dealership about it awhile back and (although I'm not 100%) I'm pretty sure they said it was cool. Heck, the dealership even said that I could get an AP as long as I didn't turn the boost up big time. I think it's all about the dealership that you visit.

  13. yeah I watched some auto cross videos on you tube....I will NOT be doing that with my little baby.

What?!?! That's what it's made for! Either way, I know I had a BLAST on Sunday!!!

Trust me, give it one shot, I promise that you will not regret it. You don't know what you're missing...

  14. Thanks for checkin in brahtw8.

I understand being busy and all. Hopefully we will be able to organize more meets this year and with time get some decent turn outs. I will of course be welcoming all of the Chicago folks too.

Maybe we can plan on some Mod meets/Garage days, Brewer games, Road America and scenic drives.

We are all open to pretty much anything.

    +1 on the road america...

  15. ok, so where are the deatails? They really should be in the first post....

See post 44 or 54. You might want to also consider driving down with the Milwaukee caravan, I think they are meeting at brookfield square.

Mis_uta ni-hope to see you there.
