  1. I'm finally ready to do some mods, this thread is AWESOME! My goal is to maintain some reliability while hitting around 300 WHP... maybe a little more

Right now everything is stock on my '05 GT 5MT with 120K, aside from some oil consumption, everything is going great (leak down and compression results are good, not seeing any blue smoke but burn a qt/1Kmiles).

I'm planning on a TMIC, pump, injectors, oil line, DP, UP, Pro-Tune (one for 93 and one for E85), 3 port EBCS, wide band/oil pressure gauge, and then of course the turbo (everything else stock except for a single mass flywheel and an exeddy replacement stock clutch-oops).

Here's my questions: VF52, TD05H-68HTA, or something else? Am I forgetting anything else mod wise? Any other suggestions?

    Thanks guys!

  2. Does anybody do any ice racing? I am interested in doing the Ice Auto X stuff if anybody knows of anything happening in Wisconsin

I do at least a couple of events with FVSCC on lake Winnebago a year, some really good guys and tough competition up there!

Check out the forum for the latest updates on the upcoming season.

    Hope to see ya there!

  3. But using the Group N bushings, they aren't stock. So while they look it, they are still illegal for a Stock class Auto-X, right? That's cheating...

Whitelines are poly, but I've never had any problem with poly bushings in the winter. Especially bushings from Whiteline.

Yep, the only way to do this right would be straight OE replacements or their equivalents. Even if I went with what the spec B has (a solid bushing very similar to the STI's) it still wouldn't be "legal" for the stock class .

You could also argue that my clutch (now a single mass flywheel) is also cheating as my car came with the dual mass (same think with the TSK3 kit). I wasn't going to pay an extra $150-$200 when the '07+ GT's have the single mass. If people want to get all butt hurt about something as minor as that too bad. Challenge me and you can get your trophy or t-shirt back :spin:.

Thanks for the feedback on the whitelines, if I ever decide to do my suspension right I'll probably scoop those up.

  4. ^ I actually just got an email from Rallispec:

    "

    Hi Matt,

We are actually out of the office this week on holidays but will return on Monday and will be sure to give you a call to help you place the order.. However, I can definitely confirm by email the fitment of the GRB bushings part number RST-2027F and RST-2027R to your 2005 Legacy GT. We have had a number of Legacy customers purchase fit these bushings to their cars.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Dave

    Rallispec"

So I'm hoping that I can place an order on Monday...

  5. Living Legacy- Go back a few pages, the contact at rallispec is here somewhere in this thread. I am going to order them myself.

I tried calling them at 609-702-7800 the last three days and no one answers!

I am emailing them today (that's the only contact info I found), does anyone else know where to get the group N bushings otherwise???

    Thanks guys!

  6. Are we all still sleeping off the turkey from Thanksgiving?

We should plan a meet n greet in January or something. Dinner, donuts in a parking lot, cruise out to Madison, ANYTHING?

Sounds like some people are interested (I would be if I'm not busy). Pick a date and post it up!

If you're looking for places to eat or stop around Madison give some general thoughts about what you're thinking and I can (or someone else) can give you some info about where to go.

  7. Guys, a quick heads up that Columbus 151 speedway is now offering Auto X days every Tuesday (for now at least). Starts at 5:00 PM and goes until dusk, all for only $15!!! Last week there were only 4 cars there so there was PLENTY of track time.

We setup/design the course as we want, they run the timing lights, it's a load of fun and a great way to get some cheap seat time!

Stop on out today if you're interested, otherwise come next week, they need at least 12 cars to break even.

    some info:

    "

Columbus 151 Speedway would like to announce an open tuning and testing session for all AutoX enthusiasts.

151 Auto X presented by TomKat will take to the track every Tuesday (for now). Gates open at 5pm.

    Tune and test until 7pm.

    Meeting 7 to 7:30

    Qualifying clock runs until dusk.

    Questions? Call me-Bryon (608) 513-9111.

    Pit passes are $15.00

    Grandstand admission is free.

Meeting is in the grandstands and free.

Columbus 151 Speedway is located 20 miles NE of Madison on Hwy 151, Exit 111 follow the signs."

  8. Speaking of recommendations, can anybody recommend a ClearBra/paint protection film installer in the Madison area?

I'm still looking for a good paint shop too.

TNT tints in Madison is pretty good (at least on window tints). I know they do clear bras too, looked decent when I saw one...
