  1. Pretty darn good. Not as good as the RE01Rs, but better than average fpor this type of tire. Did not degrade as much as I'd expected when the tread wore down. I got 7,000mi out of mine , but there were like 7-9 autocrosses in there.
  2. Better than RT-615s. Worse than RE01Rs (For daily use, the RE01R is closing in on "luxury car" tire) I has 225/45/17 which is the fattest that will reliably fit on a wagon. Many of the problems with these tires had to do with thier abilty to deal with the wieght fo the car. I don't believe a wider tire would do much. Given that the Dunlops are like $10/tire more trhan the RT-615s, the RT-615s cease to matter IMHO The Z1s will complain when they're about to break and are quite controllable at the limit. That limit is just much higher than you expect.
  3. Give em time. They're fantastic tires one they have some heat cycles on them. Perhaps the best. Short review: #1) What tire are you offering for review (size, model, type (summer, A/s, winter, race, etc), price paid, miles driven on tires, etc): 225/45/17 RE01-R #2) What is your geographic location: Minenapolis/Midwest #3) What types of driving events if any (Track, AutoX, Commute , etc): Track, daily driving, no auto-x yet #4) Percent of highway vs. city driving: shit if I know #5) Tires used previously: (On the Legacy) Re92s Nokian RSI Dunlop Z1 star specs Falkien RT-615s Many more before this car (haven't had this car a year yet) #6) Your review and personal comments (Dry, wet, and snow, if applicable. Also, please compare to other tires used): Fantastic tire. Very livable for daily driving. My only "driving in anger" so far was Blackhawk, in the rain. I passed pretty much everything (including a Carrera 4 and Cayman S) and the tires had a huge amount to do with it. Extremely good wet grip even at high speed. Never felt a bit hyrdoplaining even with puddles at nearly 100 mph. As the track started to dry out, they performed similarly amazing. Very responsive and good turn in. Lots of events in October (3-4 auto-x plus 1-2 days at MAM), hopefully something will be dry and I'll be able to give a better impression. These are better than the dunlops in the wet, but I'm not convinced they'll be better than the Dulops in the dry. #1A) 225/45/17 RT-615 #3A) Daily, Autocross On the other hand, the RT-615s I had for 2 weeks before sucked balls. They don't like high hp combined with 3300+lb curb weights. These are a miata tire. It hs been massively outclassed by the 1z star spec and the RE01R.
  4. http://forum.mnautox.com/forums/ They do do walkups, however, you'll need to arrive very early (7 AM) otherwise, register.
  5. I saw the same RBP LGT sedan debadged on my way to work this morning (7:15ish) and from work (5:00) on I-94 (east then west) between Minnepaolis and St. Paul. First LGt I've seen in a while, but i couldn't see if he even noticed me due to dark tint.
  6. Did that this year. Only 100mph on stg 1
  7. 3 of us (all manual wagons) show up to auto-x Another wagon and a spec B owned by people I know, at least Seen quite a few other LGTs around here as well.
  8. The one without a damn hole in the roof and a manual wagon (only LGT I can fit in with a helmet -- can't even fit in a sunroofed sedan without a helmet)
  9. It could be. Careless is way to easy to prove for a misdeamnor traffic violation. I'm not saying you're a bad person, you just said it was for certain legal, and I feel a need to correct you. Don't want anyone getting a ticket out of ignorance.
  10. Can't speak for your state, but in Minnesota that is illegal if the officer sees it as careless or reckless. Both careless and reckless can be charged on a parking lot as long as it is open to the public. Careless does not require you endanger anything but your car and/or your health. Yes, it's stupid, but it's the law. Plus there's normally city ordinaces regarding accelerating too fast.
  11. Been in Sacramento a bit in a Grey Infiniti M35x Saw a White LGT Wagon at Howe and Fair Oaks last night headed south on How Saw a Black LGT Sedan heading east on US 50 around Cameron Park around 2 today. You may have seen my brother's orange 240z
  12. While LGT sedan on 394 East near downtown minneapolis at about 5. Had texas plates, exchanged nods.
  13. I use metric autoworks in woodbury. They do very good work and Chris is an honest guy. Been using them for a few years, having them put on some Hawk HPSes and new fluid tommorow. I'm an 2005 ABP Legacy GT wagon (manual, no-sunroof). I'm the asshole with CA plates that probably cut you off . Also, put on SSR competitions (anthracite) yesterday. Been seeing a bunch of LGTs lately. White auto sedan (05-06) today parked near ford parkway & cleveland in St. Paul. Red sedan (05-06) manual with momo shift knob near UMN law school yesterday. Seen an ABP wagon a few times on 62 as well as a silver one. Also seen an ABP sedan twice (the only person who's waved back ). Stalked an OBXT tonight on 494. I'd be up for a proper meet.
