  1. Just finishing up with a few revisions with Dave. I was getting some overboost every once in awhile and finally decided to go EWG. Daves customer service is second to none. Very responsive. I got tuned a few years ago before the EWG and hes still the same today that he was before. Keep it up Dave!
  2. watching video, I see the following:

    1. what's with the rev'ing at start? You're actually rev'ing as the lights change. Put it at 4700 or 5000 or whereever and leave it.

    2. As you let off the clutch, bury the throttle

    3. upshift to 2nd was about 6k rpm, upshift to 3rd was about 6200, upshift to 4th was about 6k. With the slow shifting you have, you want to spend as much time as you can winding the motor out. Figure out where the cutoff is, and rev to that every time. If you can add a shift light, you won't have to watch for your shift point

    4. your upshifts are not very smooth (lots of blur from camera)

    5. If you are shifting slow due to stock parts, rev the engine as you pass thru neutral to keep the revs up.

    1. I thought I saw on here that it helps with launching if you do that cause of building boost while the rpms go up. Ill try holding at a certain rpm next year.

    2. I thought I did that. Atleast that was my intention.

    3. I was trying to take it up to redline. How can you tell in the video what I shifted at?

    4. I dont know what to say. lol

    5. I guess I need more practice going thru the gears quickers. On the streets I dont normally fly thru the gears very fast like I try to do at the track.

Ive only ever been there a few times and with the clutch slipping I think it definitely hurt me. I also installed a new kartboy sts when I did the clutch so next year should definitely be better.

Any tips are more than welcome.

Ive been working with him over the past few weeks going back and forth about what to buy and what not. Just put new stage 3 parts on over the weekend and flashed my base map on monday and we did a few revisions already. Hes definitely around and a great guy to deal with.

  6. Check with Underdog and/or m sprank - both are running specials to the end of this month on Enkei wheels. Underdog has the catalog posted in his thread as does m sprank I believe so see if that's a good deal vs new.

AFA the tires - they're throw aways, so you're really only interested in the wheels.

Whats wrong with the tires? I wouldnt be doing autox or anything. Just usual driving in the summer. Wouldnt I be able to get a few summers out of them.

If he doesnt have the centering ring, do you know about how much they would be?

I was thinking of offering him $500 and see what he says.

  7. So someone local to me is selling a set of these http://www.wheelstudio.com/view-wheel/enkei-wheels/enkei-lusso-black-with-polished-lip . Asking 600 obo. I like the looks of them but I searched on here and didnt find a single other person even mention that specific wheel. Is it a bad wheel or what? The rims the guy is selling is 18x7.5 with nexen n3000 tires with about 8/32 left. He said one of them has a small bubble in it. Does that sound like a good deal or not?
