Ghey? perhaps, but I love the color. Yall WAKE UP!!!
  3. Hi everyone! I'm just checking in to say hello. I'm still here. yall dont need to wait for me to plan stuff. This has been stickied for all of yall to use. I'm sure Bogdan and the Chi Town guys will be planning meets too. Have at it! I see Leggies everywhere! I wanna know who the guy is on 57 North every morning in a LGT. I wave and make silly faces @ you all the time. BTW: If yall didn't see it there is a Car show @ Subaru City in Milwaukee soon. 4. Hey guys, Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I agree that we need to organize/plan a meet or meet-n-greet or whatever. Looks like there's a few new guys in the WISLOC thread here. I noticed the guy from Port Wash, I live there too, what color is yours? I'm in the Blue 2.5 w/ rear spoiler and paint matched eyelids. You in that white one? I've seen a few around the area. Anyway, Let's drop some ideas for a mini-meet to at least meet up and do dinner or something. I'm happy to see the WI Folk registering on the site.
  5. I updated post #1 to include links to the Subaru City Tuner Show and the 2009 (5th annual) Summer Cruise. Anyone going to either of these? I'm lookin forward to the summer Cruise, Dan, Kamil and Brad always make these meets/cruises "memorable" lol. I'll never forget the big brake check at highway speeds last year.
  6. If you go to a stealership they'll tell you that you have to replace the entire vent assembly. Typical. This is bad karma but the next time you go in for service get an outback loaner and swipe one from there. (You didn't hear it from me!) In other news: bradlgt21 is planning a meet, currently we don't know when or where but it's gonna be a blast!! I figure since the fibbers always come up here that we should go down there for one. I'll update here and also the first post in this thread as info becomes available. He's gonna want to know about how many people are comin from WI so let's start gauging interest. Who's Down?
  7. Happy birthday man!
  8. Yep, you missed a good cruise and comradery. Thanks to everyone for showing up and showin support. Aalso, thank to everyone for the kind donations.
  9. Thanks for the well wishes for the time being I live in Port Washington, about 20 min North of Milwaukee. I'm sorry to hear that you may have some experience in the past w/ cancer. It truly is a nightmare.
  10. Thanks for the replies guys. (PM's replied to) Yep, I was diagnosed w/ Burkitts Lymphoma back in November 2008. They didn't expect me to survive the first round of chemo because I had a big tumor wrapped all around my intestines. But I pulled through all that and now just waitin to get through the Stem-Cell part. I highly sugggest you all keep some savings for shit like this. This fight w/ cancer has cost me my life savings (so much for buyin a house) all my 401k and in another 2 months i'll probably be homeless and carless. It's a bitch. But, I'm damn happy to be here bitchin about it :^)
  11. <crickets> I'm still hangin in there. I got a month off of the chemo to recover, then i'll be going back to Mayo for a stem-cell transplant. The Dr's say, if the transplant doesn't kill me I should be good to go for 10 years or so. Anyway, I hope all of yall had a great holiday season and New Year. I can't wait to get back home healthy (Dr's say that will be around June-July) so we can organize some meets.
  12. hello everyone, i am done w/ 2 of 6 chemo sessions. i'm trying to hang in there. thanks for all the support and kind words. i cant wait to get through this and get sideways in some snow. i am up at the Mayo Clinic in MN. i'll try to keep yall updated on my health. I'm suprised noone has organized some kinda snow cruise!! take pics for me and post em up here.
  13. Personally, I'd take the Spec-B but if she needs all the extra storage space go w/ the forrester. Thanks for passing along this info. The folks down in Chicagoland really put together some nice meets.
  14. Welcome mstinger2003! Please check back here often because things pop up frequently. The first post in this thread is the best place to get info on all events that are scheduled. For example I updated the 1st post to include the 2nd Annual Chicagoland Fall Cruise. If you or any of your friends from the IWSTI forums would like to attend please have them fill out the attendance sheet (link in 1st post-this thread) Or, you could figure out who is coming from there and fill it out for them (guests). This goes for anyone else as well, please see the 1st post if you are going to this. There is a link to the sign-up sheet and a link to the Fall Cruise there. Thought I'd take this time to whore-out my car. Here's a couple of Pics my brother shot over the winter. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w193/zzztech13/SUBARU/1221947180.jpg I LOVE this one! http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w193/zzztech13/SUBARU/1221947175.jpg
  15. Spotted a Dark blue LGT in Port Washington near WalMart, He was heading east towards Port. The guy nodded to acknowledge a fellow owner. I also saw a White LGT in Port but the lady driving it is clueless... when I honked and waved she looked @ me like I was an Axe-Murderer (how did she know!!?)
  16. Before I go linking to a bunch of threads I'm gonna make sure us Wisconsin folk are welcome. It's being organized by the Chi-Town people.
  17. WAKE UP WISLOC!! Time to dust off this thread. Who's goin to the Fall Cruise? I'm considering it.
  18. ^^ Will do. Mad99- I'll see you @ New Glarus. I expect to be there around 9:45-10:00am.
  19. First post updated. I will be marking all cars that have GPS and Radio w/ 2 yellow dots on front and rear windshield. All cars w/ Radio only will have 1 yellow dot. PLEASE be at the southeast corner of the SEARS parking lot at 745 am so I can get this done in time to roll out for New Glarus @ 800am sharp. MAD99- Will you be meeting all of us @ New Glarus or waiting for us to show up in Madtown?
  20. I updated you on the list murdoc158. I need to find out who has GPS in their because I need to assign team leaders for the drive. Everyone should read the last few pages of the summer drive thread to make sure we all understand how this will work. Here's a few key points I copy/pasted: (written by f1anatic, the organizer of this event) Ok. I would like to know one thing. Who is officially in charge of the Wisconsin troops for this meet ? Is that you ZZZTECH ? I would prefer it is you since you seem a very no-nonsense kind of guy, unlike some others. I have no idea how you will organize your people BUT I would prefer if set things straight here. As far as I can tell there will be a number of you coming from different places and all meeting in New Glarus. Once in New Glarus - since you will likely arrive before we do, I want you to select one of you guys to be the designated TEAM LEADER (a guy with a GPS and walkie talkies). Yes, please share the walkie talkies among yourselves, just like we will do. Also , please have another member with GPS and walkie talkies fill the role of Caboose. If you are familiar with how I am organizing the things, I plan on having key people at certain positions within the convoy as to ensure we all know where we are going and the convoy will not split up. I know that you personally do not have a GPS based on the spreadsheet but I would like you to mark those cars with NAVI with a dot (I have for instance a yellow tape from which I will cut little pieces and stick them to the back windows of all cars.). I want you to mark the TEAM LEADER and the CABOOSE with 2 dots, on both the front and the back windows, such as they are visible yet to not impair the driver's visibility. I am asking this because I will have a command structure in place and I want us to seamlessly integrate and work as if we all left from the same place. I do not want in New Glarus to establish the hierarchy and the command structure once again. It is all very simple actually: I want TEAM LEADERS - clearly marked and evenly spread thru-out the convoy, each one followed by 5-6 cars (with or without gps). All team leaders have walkie talkies and navi and they know where they are going and will drive knowing they are responsible for several of the cars behind them: stop at lights, intersections, railroads etc. My guy who is running CABOOSE will still be the last guy in the convoy after we meet. I also want ALL of you to refuel in New Glarus. We will NOT stop for gas anywhere else before Madison - though I do recognize the fact that some of you living close by do not have to refuel and may not come to Madison with us. I leave it up to you guys to decide, but i feel it is important that when we meet we do not have organizational issues. Thanks. Yeah...the walkie talkies...please use the same frequency as we do, duh ! On the first page of this thread.
  21. Yep, the reason we need to leave @ 8:00am sharp is because the Mapquest (link in post #1 this thread) says it'll take 1hour and 39min to get to New Glarus. That puts us there around 9:45am which is when the IL folk will arrive. I suggest everyone clicks the Mapquest link and prints a copy for themselves incase they get separated or need to stop on the way. Again, I do not plan on stopping anywhere until we reach the New Glarus brewery.
  22. We will be meeting in the SEARS Parking lot near the red light (Southeast corner of mall parking lot). Good idea driving your own car this is gonna be a fun ride on the twistys. How many Subarus in your group? I think one is gonna be a Mustang right?
  23. I will update the list thanks, I will be leaving from Port Washington around 7:00am to go to the first (WI) meeting point @ Brookfield Square Mall. Maybe I will see yall on the way there or we can plan to meet up somewhere in Mequon (around 7:15) and head down to Brookfield Square Mall together if you want, just let me know.
