  1. Does anyone actually know the difference between the 5056J and 5058J kits from Bilstein? Possibly valving of the front struts? The 3.0R is much closer in weight to the 2.5XT. Almost identical, actually.
  2. What about the 5056J vs. 5058J differences? Also, you have LGT mufflers on your Outback? Got any pics besides the one in your avatar?
  3. And why the 5056J over the 5058J? The 5056 is the 2.5i, the 5058 is the 3.0R. Spring rates are the same for both, so what is the difference?
  4. I'm more curious than interested. I've already got a set of coilovers. But I'm interested to hear about the ride quality of these. I'd LOVE a set for winter, but can't justify more than $2k just for struts and springs. Maybe if they were Ohlins, but not for Bilsteins. That is just INSANE!
  5. What's so special about the BTS struts over the Bilstein HD struts? http://www.bilsteinus.com/cart/ymm.php?year=2009&make=SUBARU&model=LEGACY&zenid=
  6. $2000? Seems MUCH more expensive than what M.S. paid in his intro post...
  7. I'm not positive that they'll swap over. The STi ones might be shorter or have a different top hat orientation than you need. I'd pick coilovers, order them for the LGT, then swap the lower brackets on the front. I'd talk directly to the company, and see if they can set you up.
  8. They might be compatible. If you already have the aluminum A-arms from the Spec B, then I wouldn't really worry about it.
  9. On coilovers, some have independent lower brackets (the bit that actually clamps to the strut up front, or bolts to the knuckle in the rear). If that same company makes parts for the 08+ STi, then you can simply replace the lower brackets on the front of your current coilovers with the 08+ lower brackets, and you are good to go!
  10. Use 08+ front suspension, as the knuckle IS thicker. If you have coilovers, or are going to get them, just get the lower brackets for an 08+ STi.
  11. I bet it would all fit up. The front definitely fits up, and I think you can probably swap the rear knuckles over and keep your OE arms. But if you have access to everything, I'd do it that way.
  12. How would you even get into that car?
  13. Why the decision for two OLED screens instead of one longer one? Was that a price decision? How do you program the startup animation on the board? Would it be possible for us to create our own on the computer then flash the gauge? I can think of a few ideas I'd like.
  14. ok, I approve. Any ideas on the startup animation?
  15. Looks pretty good! What color will the screen/LED display? Red?
  16. I'd be happy with changing to "Ready" after the needle sweep is done. Any way to make that display user-configurable?
  17. Me likey. Did you say OLED screens, or did I imagine it? Any chance we could get customizable startup screens? I'd like one that blinks "Wait To Start" until the needle sweep is done!
  18. I want a satin-y finish. Something that blends into the color of the vent nicely, as to not stand out when off.
  19. My main request? Make it so the remaining vents can still be moved up/down and left/right. I'd be upset to lose that versatility. Other than that, I'm down for one!
  20. Just a note. When doing this, since you have the headliner out, order and install some Dynamat or Dynamat like material. Two mods in one!
  21. I'm in pending price, operation of vents, auto-dimming of numbers and such, and the option to turn it off completely.
