I love this car like a first child and am sad to part with it. However, I now have an actual first child. We have a family car (Prius :/) and I walk to work so I can't justify keeping it any longer.

All the wearable items have recently been replaced. This car is an absolute blast to drive and should be good to go for a new owner.

    Negatives

Negatives are mostly cosmetic. While I was able to care for the interior, motor, trans, etc, not much I could do to protect the body from others.

Car was involved in a couple fender benders (<20mph)

Damage was cosmetic and professionally repaired

Hood paint has not held up that well (see pics)

Very tiny dent on roof was there when I purchased. I don't think a single friend ever noticed it.

Small dent on trunk lid with unmatched paint. Who stands a bench on its side at the end of the driveway so all you can see is 2" of it!

    Rock chips on front end.

Some marks on bumpers from terrible parkers.

Radio lights come on and off. Usually ok once car warms up. Common issue. Recommend replacing.

I did my best but it was subject to street parking for part of its life :(

  2. My break line failed today at the fitting that was recalled. Unfortunately, I never heard of the recall and never addressed it. "Coincidentally" the brake lines failed within blocks of leaving my inspection, which the car passed. (PA inspection is such a racket..a whole other topic).

Right now the car is going to be towed to Cherry Hill Subaru. Will see what they have to say. Seems like getting the dealership to take care of this could be hit or miss. Any advice on how to convince the dealership to honor the recall and fix the lines greatly appreciated!

  3. I installed Exedy Stage 1 (#15804) in September. I have about 5-6,000 miles on it. I was not a fan for the first few weeks. The pedal was extremely stiff and resulted in a sore foot. After about 1,000 miles it started to break in and I was used to it. I like it now and would use it again. It's still on the stiff side but the pedal feel and feedback is good. I have not pushed it hard so I can't speak much to how it holds up yet.
  4. Bridgestone RE01R 235/40/18 on 18x8 tarmac 3

Bought these tires when tirerack was closing them out and paid $490 shipped. Cant beat it for the money. Put them on this weekend and put about 200 miles on them. They handle amazing. I progressivelly pushed them through some corners and they just kept staying put. Finally got them to slide and it was freaking scary! No warning chirp and didnt slide like normal tires would. Sort of jumped and then grabbed the road again. I didnt expect these to be quiet by any means, but they are much louder than I expected and I now feel every bump and crack in the road. Feels like I went from driving a nice plush car to something with an old worn out suspension. But then I hit a corner and they remind me its worth the extra noise. Sidewalls are extrememly stiff. Running 37/35 psi and noticed no flex. I guess this review is worthless since theyre discontinued but thought I'd share.

  5. More interesting is this means that it's possible to somehow just reprogram that computer directly without going through the ECU with an SSM3.

    How?

I am ordering new wheels next week and this has me thinking. Its quite a bit to pay to get rid of a light tho. I'm used to checking my pressure on my own so I wont miss having the warning...Its just that damn annoying light!
