  1. Hmmm. Well this looks like the same issue I feel like I'm having. 08 Spec-b.

    I posted this elsewhere...

The driver's side when set to mid 70's is pretty warm, and if my passengers side is set to the same temp or hotter, it's actually blowing cooler air than the driver's side even if I put the passenger up to 85. Also blowing at the feet, it is not that warm either to match the temperature and seems to be blowing colder than my driver's side.

Also, when I turn the vent on to blow at my feet, it still blows out of the middle vents between my nav system. The only way to get it to stop from those vents is to switch to the front defog and the feet blower.

Do you have the part number by chance?

  2. Just from what I've read the rubber grommet on the bulb wires fits in a 7/8" hole. I'd poke around the 4th gen forum and see what you can find.

I did a bi-xenon retrofit on a friend's car, we just poked holes in the rubber caps to run the wires thru.

    Good luck with your install!

Thanks for the info. I searched HID Installs and this was the best that came up even with the 4th generation. But I'll keep looking and see what I can find. I'd rather not drill the dust caps, but if it's the only way to install then I can and will.

  3. I think I ahve the same problem at least with the pressure of the pump. Haven't had a day to look under the hood to see if there's a leak or if the motor and pump are going out.

If it is the motor and pump what exactly do I need to replace it all? Found this stuff, is it just parts 16 & 17 that I need or do I only need one of them?

    Thanks.

  4. Do you know if the wiring that goes to the exterior mirrors is a wiring harness or if I have to take the door panel off to replace the whole side mirror? Mine got fragged by some debris on the highway yesterday. mirror shattered, turn signal blown off and frame cracked.
  5. Anyone by chance know how or has tried to switch the seek controllers from going through all the channels on the radio to being able to change between all my preset channels? I would rather have this option than seeking through every single radio station, just don't know if or how it can be done. Just got a Spec-B a few weeks ago, but not doing this mod anytime soon unless it's REALLY easy, it's too freaking cold in Chi to be working on a car outside.
  6. It stops both after changing just the driver? or inital chime?

(i am assuming you need to mod both seatbelt connectors)

YEah it stops both chimes, there is no switch on the passenger belt, I took that one apart first to see what I needed to do. The only chime it does is when you first stick the key in and turn it on, after that no more chimes on either side. The silence is so wonderful

  7. So I got 2 ideas, one well it works on occasion and the other, I need some help from you guys.

Solution #1: turn your radio up loud, it seems to drown out the chirping of the seatbelt.

Solution #2: Does anyone know how to take apart the seatbelt buckle or have the schematics on doing so? If that's the case why not do that to both the passenger side and drivers side, remove the wire connected in there and just wedge a paperclip or something permanent in there to fool the connection that the seatbelt is always connected?

If anyone has the diagrams on how to take apart the buckle and wants to send them to me, I do have a fair amount of free time and would be willing to make an attempt on it.

    Thanks.

  8. What's wrong with the 20 x in / out method ?

    Much easier.

I've tried the 20x thingy a few times but ever now and again I still get the chime. Sometimes it doesn't go off sometime it chimes annoyingly. Not sure if the weather has anything to do with it or not, but it's sure really annoying. Might have to go with this method and just unplug the stupid thing.

What really ticks me off is I had my dealer in dallas unhook it for me and it was fine for 2+ years, then I took my car in for the 30k check up here in VA where I live now and they undid it. Then they complained they weren't allowed to turn it off again it was against something or other. The chumps....ARG!!!
