  1. If it is the Yakima Q-tower, then it should fit with the Q53 or Q78 clips. I can post pictures this evening.
  2. I'm not sure how many ounces of grease was used as the entire grease pack was thrown in there. Personally, I would just replace the boot altogether and/or monitor it till it fails.
  3. ^^^^^^^ Thank you. I'll get one on order as a spare to my original. I went ahead and repaired the boot this afternoon and it took a total of about 4-5 hours. Less than 40 minutes were spent removing and installing the axle. The rest of the time was eaten by marking the bearings, cup, axle shaft, and rebuilding the inner joint. The original poster's walkthrough was 100% on the spot in my case. For members that want to attempt this repair, and need an expedient CV boot solution, look toward the Beck/Arnley 1032976 as a viable solution. The CV boot kit fit like a glove.
  4. ^^^^^ I won't be able to shed any light on your situation until my original passenger side half-shaft is removed. The replacement that arrived from MAC Auto looks like the top unit.
  5. ^^^^^ I've been thinking of picking up a basket for some time now, but will have to put it on the backburner due to a busted CV boot that is need of repair. Do you keep the basket on 24/7? My Yakima rack + Rocky Mounts have been on the car since early June, 2010.
  6. While replacing my front endlinks with Kartboy components, I discovered that my right side front cv boot (inner) is torn. The grease is fairly fresh, and am thinking about rebuilding the axle myself. However, the ~74 dollar rebuilt axles are tempting. Any of you know if the front axles on a 5mt car are the same as those on a 5eat leggy?
  7. If you're serious about lending me a hand, I can set aside a weekend. I'll email you tomorrow to see if we can get something worked out. My reinforced oil pickup has been sitting on my shelf for over a year.
  8. ~200 miles Practice as in you do your car first and then mine?
  9. Anyone want to drive up to Ridgecrest to help me install my reinforced oil-pickup?
  10. Posted many times: http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn30/Jim_KT/SpecB/IMG_3792.jpg
  11. Wow. I really like this. Not too many wheel/color combos work with BSM cars. Any need to roll the fenders? I'm looking to pick up a different set of wheels for my BSM leggy.
  12. I'm looking to have someone install my Killer-B reinforced oil pickup after nearly a year of ownership (oil pickup). So you're saying that Yimi is a no go? That's interesting as I have had great results with them. If not them, who would you recommend? I am very resource (time) limited otherwise I would have had this installed last year.
  13. Only thing new for me is that I buggered up my JDM Spec. B RevA-C STi lip really well.
  14. Looks great. I'll be ordering up a set of mounts soon! Thanks.
  15. Any pics of it without the plate? Looks like a great option.
  16. Thanks for the pics. I reckon this is not cut out for the Spec. B bumper, but just a sheet of mesh that one cuts to fit? How does it attach?
  17. Looks good! I've been looking into picking up a set.
  18. She was actually "ok" with it and just shook her head.
  19. Looks good, lawl. I didn't realize that you sold your Tarmac IIIs. SoCal member?
  20. My set of PFF7s registered at around 20.5 lbs/ea. on my bathroom scale. Take that with a grain of salt because the scale probably isn't all that accurate.
  21. OMG!

    I gotta make teh doo-doo!
