  1. That would be me. Don't need it. It is used. Not sure if it leaks or not, but I switched it out for a free UP I got for buying some coilovers.
  2. Where exactly do you live? I live in the Stevens Point area. I did mine a few years ago when I had my GT. It's not too hard. I used some dental floss to drop and hold the washer into place.
  3. If it placed well it wasn't Franz. Haha. J/K man.
  4. I wonder if your wastegate spring is broken or not actuating like it should. That is the reason why you have no power. Can you move the flap easily or the wastgate arm?
  5. I'm pretty sure it isn't supposed to look like that. I don't every remember being able to see the hole when I took the downpipe off.
  6. I don't think they have been getting good ice on the spot they usually run at in Oshkosh. I know CWSCC is planning an event on the 15th in Wausau.
  7. The CWSCC club does some ice racing up this way around Stevens Point area. FVSCC does some stuff at lake Winnebego by Oshkosh. I go out a few times a year with CWSCC. Check out our forum at CWSCC there is a thread for the 2012 season.
  8. Here is my 08 3.0R with 08 WRX rims, General Altimax Arctic Winter tires 225-45/17, Flapatax mud flaps. Going to get some tint done this summer.
  9. I will have to concur. I had an 05 Regal Blue Pearl that I thought looked 5x's better. People always said that they liked it. Most of them were the car guy types. But with the DBM I've had strangers comment on the car a lot when I first bought it. Most of them ladies and middle aged men. Now its the winter and it seems to always be dirty so I haven't heard anything lately. The color has grown on me a lot. I really disliked the color at first and didn't even consider buying my 3.0R because of it. However my wife said she liked it and I couldn't pass on the deal that I got for it. Now I think the color is pretty cool. It's just hard to find the right rim colors that compliment the car.
  10. Shoot me a PM and I can probably talk you thru it. I did the Infamous tune when I had my LGT. Chad
  11. I've seen that supercharger, but at that price I could find a wrx or a 2.5RS. Not in the budget. I made a thread in the NA section for the 3.0R.
  12. My LGT was about stage 2.5 and had around 70k miles, so I was kinda getting worried about the mileage and turbo and having to futz with it. My wife hated having to drive it when I needed the SUV to pull my trailer when I went racing. It was setup for autox with coilovers and squeakey HPS+ pad's a ACT clutch and LWFW. Having a todler running around I just didn't want to have to mess with a modded car checking the tune and tweaking on parts. I was looking at 09 WRX's, but no one wanted to make a deal on one for the price I wanted to pay. So I went to test drive the 3.0R with no intention to buy the actual one I test drove. I originally hated the color. I ended up getting a screaming deal on one that had only 3,300 miles on it. I just wanted to see if I would be happy with the power of the H6. (I had a 2.5i before the LGT, so I knew I wouldn't be happy with the 4 banger.) When I drove the 3.0R I thought it would be ok power wise and the wife really liked the luxury side of the 3.0R and automatic. I thought the paddle shifters would be a nice compromise compared to a manual that I wanted. So far I'm really happy with the 3.0R. I've still auto x with it and I did a ice rally cross the other night and it is still fun to drive. I know I can't compete with the STI'S and Evo's, but that's ok. It's not as fun as the LGT, but whenever I visit the forums and see that people are blowing up motors and turbo's I'm happy knowing I can hit my remote start and jump in the car and not worry about it. I know I can't mod the car other than suspension stuff, so there is no temptation there. It would be nice to get another 30hp out of the engine, but ohh well. I do miss the LGT sometimes, but I'm really happy with the 3.0R and like I said I got a sweet deal on very low mileage car that was never owned by anyone other than the dealership. Hope that answered your question. BTW, I know the guy that started that lip thread. I had a Regal Blue Pearl GT before and met him at an auto x.
  13. What $70? Please send me a link. Because for that price I wouldn't care if I ripped it off. Did you attach it with 3m or something else. I haven't been as active on the forum since I got rid of my LGT for the 3.0R. Is there a thread on this lip?
  14. I like the blacked out wings on the grill. I'd love to get a lip, but it would get ripped off in the winter time up here. I gotta get some Rally Armor mud flaps on and take some winter pic's of my car with my 08 wrx winter wheel setup. I think they look really nice on the Legacy. I just don't know if I want to get the Classic's or the PU's. I just did a rally x on the ice last night and my car is dirty as hell.
  15. Did you get a job down there Franz? I'd like to do a meet, but my work schedule is kinda hard to plan anything.
  16. No my car didn't have an LSD. Neither does yours. Just drain and fill.
  17. Yes, just drain the stuff already in the diff and replace with the Supertech fluid. I thought the stuff worked pretty good.
  18. Yeah I saw your gold rims and they aren't for me. My wife also said no way. I'd like to see some pic's of bronze rims though.
  19. Yeah I get compliments on mine all the time too. More so than when I had a Regal Blue Pearl LGT. I originally didn't like the DBM color, but now it has grown on me. I just wish there were rims other than silver that look good on this car.
  20. I saw a RBP LGT with a factory spoiler on the interstate near Green Bay last Saturday. A guy driving with a lady in the passenger seat. There was a baby seat or 2 in the back. The RBP made me miss mine. I think that is the first RBP LGT that I've seen besides mine.
  21. Anyone know the guy that wrecked his black LGT a few days ago near sauk-madison area? My buddy saw him pile it up.
  22. Hi guys I just picked up an 08 DBM 3.0R. I had an 05 LGT Regal Blue Pearl before and loved that color. The DBM wasn't really and option. I just wanted to test drive the 3.0R and see if I would be happy with one compared to my LGT, but I got a killer deal on the car with only 3,000 miles on it so I kinda had to forget about the color. I still have a set of Motegi RPF1's in gunmetal from my LGT and trying to find a rim color that looks good on the car is hard. I think Silver or a Bronze looks like the best option. Anybody got a good pic with bronze wheels? I don't want to paint my rims until I can see what bronze would look like. Hope to get some tint on the car and pictures soon.
  23. Ok I just found my notes on the measurements. So the Rear spring is 7 3/4" and the strut measures 17". That is measured from the top mount down to the top of bottom strut mount. The front spring measures 7 1/4" and the strut is 12 1/2" measured from the top mount down to the top of the bottom strut mount. I adjusted mine with no pre load on the spring. So basically I could move the spring buy hand. By doing it that way you don't get a much drop. And you are correct the 3 collars are all very close together on the bottom. Now if you wanted more drop you are going to have to preload the spring more, so you can adjust the whole strut length shorter. You just need to decide if your more concerned about the look or the performance. I wanted the performance for autox so I didn't drop the car much. Edit, original post was updated. I also need to review the autox I just did last week. So I will do that soon.
  24. Yes no preload. I adjusted the 2 spring collars so that they were snug up to the spring. I could still turn the spring by hand. Then I adjusted/turned the whole strut lower collar to get the ride height set. If you want more of a drop you are going to have to pre-load the spring. But if you are more about the performance aspect then you need to set them like I did with less drop, so the arms are not at a lowered angle. I'll take a picture of my ride height so you can get an idea of what no pre load on the spring looks like. I took some measurements of everything. I'll have to go out in the garage tomorrow and check to see where I wrote them down at. I also did an auto x last weekend, so I need to write my impressions down. But overall I really liked the way the car handled. It didn't have the massive body roll feeling the stock suspension had with after market sways.
  25. I posted a few times in the other thread about my noises, but basically here is what I wrote. I only hear my spring pop when turning and going over bumps in driveways and into parking lots where the road is uneven and the wheels are turned at a good angle. I never hear the noise while driving and going over bumps and potholes.
