  1. Not heard of the front problem and mine are all great...in short WTF are you talking about?

Did you read this thread?? Some people are reporting that the front swaybar is too short, so the endlinks are at an extreme angle, which could make them break off. That is a problem. OTOH, some people don't have this problem. I have no idea why. There was a guy on these forums a week or two ago that had the same issue with his Cobb front bar.

    Found it: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=874112&postcount=23

    Look at the first photo.

  2. Bringing this thread back from the netherworld...

It seems Cobb has done nothing to fix the front bar design issue. Someone else here recently installed both Cobb bars and the front still has the same problem of being too short so that the endlinks are at extreme angles.

Come on, Cobb! Don't fill any more orders for your front bar until you fix the design/fitment issue. Please.

  3. Hey, thanks for the detailed info! Although, I figured the fill point was at the "clear" plastic tank in front of the car -- you know, the one with the hot/cold fill lines. It even has a long, flexible plastic dipstick.

If that's not the correct fill spot, then I guess I gotta learn a bit more. Where exactly is the other (correct) fill point? I'll go home and stare at my engine bay for a while tonight. :)

  4. Maybe a bit OT, but how does the LGT's cooling system work? The reason I ask is because of how the fill tank is. It's basically an expansion tank that's open to atmosphere because all it has is a plastic snap-on cap. I suppose my question is: How does the system pressurize without a sealed expansion/fill tank?

I've grown accustomed to my last two VWs that had the round expansion tanks... but they were also pressurized. If you tried to remove the screw cap to the expansion tank while the coolant was still hot, then you could get a nice face full of hot coolant spray when you removed it.
