  1. Sorry about that. I didn't mean to sound angry with that previous post there... Anyway... it seems very strange that some people have no problems, while others have the issue shown in the link I posted.
  2. Did you read this thread?? Some people are reporting that the front swaybar is too short, so the endlinks are at an extreme angle, which could make them break off. That is a problem. OTOH, some people don't have this problem. I have no idea why. There was a guy on these forums a week or two ago that had the same issue with his Cobb front bar. Found it: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=874112&postcount=23 Look at the first photo.
  3. While $20 may "fix" the problem, Cobb should fix the front bar as well, and send a free replacement to every buyer as well as an RA# to get their old bars back.
  4. Hm... maybe I missed something? Is the fitment issue only on Outbacks, then? Or has it been fixed?
  5. Ah... my mistake. I re-read the postings and it is the front bar.
  6. Bringing this thread back from the netherworld... It seems Cobb has done nothing to fix the front bar design issue. Someone else here recently installed both Cobb bars and the front still has the same problem of being too short so that the endlinks are at extreme angles. Come on, Cobb! Don't fill any more orders for your front bar until you fix the design/fitment issue. Please.
  7. If it's any indication, we can (sort of) use the info gathered by the LGT and STi folks who have modified their ECUs, engines, etc. I think of it as "accelerated stability." Hopefully, nothing major will arise.
  8. True... you don't want hard water deposits in your cooling system.

  10. Hey, thanks for the detailed info! Although, I figured the fill point was at the "clear" plastic tank in front of the car -- you know, the one with the hot/cold fill lines. It even has a long, flexible plastic dipstick. If that's not the correct fill spot, then I guess I gotta learn a bit more. Where exactly is the other (correct) fill point? I'll go home and stare at my engine bay for a while tonight.
  11. Maybe a bit OT, but how does the LGT's cooling system work? The reason I ask is because of how the fill tank is. It's basically an expansion tank that's open to atmosphere because all it has is a plastic snap-on cap. I suppose my question is: How does the system pressurize without a sealed expansion/fill tank? I've grown accustomed to my last two VWs that had the round expansion tanks... but they were also pressurized. If you tried to remove the screw cap to the expansion tank while the coolant was still hot, then you could get a nice face full of hot coolant spray when you removed it.
