  1. Hi all Is it possible to swap the gearbox marked TG5D7CWEAA found in the subaru legacy IV 2.5gt limited 2008-2009 with SI-Drive for the gearbox marked TG5D8CLAAB found in the subaru Legacy V 2.5GT. I come from Poland and unfortunately in my LGT the gearbox is starting to have a fault. When driving hard, the transmission has a problem with shifting from second to third gear - when this happens there is a hard bump. When I drive hard and start braking to a stop, the gear reduction also has a hard bump. I have changed the oil, but the fault remains. Unfortunately, there is practically no other gearbox with the same designation in Poland, but I found one coming from a 2.5 turbo Legacy V. However, a mechanic told me that he knows from experience that transmissions for Subaru should be identical, because others often have different ratios and may not work in my case. Maybe someone of you has experience whether such a box will approach or from some other model to continue to be SI-DRIVE. I wanted to sell the car soon anyway, but I'd rather sell a repaired one, because a working LGT is hard to sell, let alone a broken one. Or maybe someone has a TG5D7CWEAA marked box for sale somehow cheaply and is able to ship it to Poland. If you have a crate, but don't know how to ship, I will try to arrange transportation, because in polsia there are a lot of companies that import cars from the USA. My biggest dream was to own a 6MT, but unfortunately the cost of the crate and modification exceeds my current capabilities, and therefore I would generally like to sell this car. Sorry for grammatical errors if there are any, I used a translator.
