Did anyone ever try this? I have a 09 legacy with the HK system that has the woofer in the trunk but I have no clue how to get it out and I'm trying to replace it. Does anyone have any tips on how to get the OEM one out of the rear deck?

no clue if anyone on this is still active but does anyone know how to remove the OEM sub in the rear deck if you have the HK system?

Is anyone able to give any guidance on how to remove the OEM rear deck woofer in a 2009 Subaru Legacy? I got a new speaker to put in the hole but I'm having trouble removing the original one.

Hey all, I am trying to replace my HK OEM woofer that came with the car because it after 118k miles finally gave out. I looked and looked and looked for a video to tutorial on how to get it out and I couldn't find anything. So far I've gotten 4 bolts out but for some reason, it is still in there. Does anyone have a video, pics, or tutorial on how to remove or replace it? Would be extremely helpful. Also, will I have to remove the whole rear deck just for another 8' speaker?
