  1. Hey, mark any chance you're still on here? Hoping you are!

  2. Did anyone ever try this? I have a 09 legacy with the HK system that has the woofer in the trunk but I have no clue how to get it out and I'm trying to replace it. Does anyone have any tips on how to get the OEM one out of the rear deck?
  3. no clue if anyone on this is still active but does anyone know how to remove the OEM sub in the rear deck if you have the HK system?
  4. Hey Jaylew,

I read your post about upgrading your 05 Legacy to the HK system of the 09. I have a 2009 Legacy and the OEM sub in the back has blown and I'm in the process of replacing it. I got a Pioneer sub to replace and I'm trying to get the OEM sub out of the hole where it is. I see there is a type of bracket I think that holds it in place that I can't get from the trunk. In order to replace it, do I have to take the whole rear deck trim off? If you don't know how, do you know of any threads on here that explain how to do it? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  5. Hey Jolbaru, I saw you were posting about replacing the original HK sub in the rear trunk/deck area of your Subaru Legacy. I'm attempting the same thing at the moment. Now to remove it, I have gotten the 4 main screws that hold the OEM sub down but its still in there. Is there another bracket holding it in? Am I going to have to remove the whole trim on the top of the rear deck to get it out? If so how do I go about doing that? Would be really appreciated if you could help.

I actually have a wagon. So I’m not sure if you’re talking about a sedan? I also took out the factory sub that was in the bracket and replaced it with a pioneer shallow 8” sub.

  6. Is anyone able to give any guidance on how to remove the OEM rear deck woofer in a 2009 Subaru Legacy? I got a new speaker to put in the hole but I'm having trouble removing the original one.
  7. Hey all, I am trying to replace my HK OEM woofer that came with the car because it after 118k miles finally gave out. I looked and looked and looked for a video to tutorial on how to get it out and I couldn't find anything. So far I've gotten 4 bolts out but for some reason, it is still in there. Does anyone have a video, pics, or tutorial on how to remove or replace it? Would be extremely helpful. Also, will I have to remove the whole rear deck just for another 8' speaker?
