  1. I tried my new "system" (see my previous post) and it was teh sux. It was a little more quiet than a STG2 inside, probably as loud or more outside but the "idle crappiness" came back and it was making some crappy and loud popping noises when I reved on neutral. STG2 really put a smile on my face the first days and I really liked it the first week or two but now I'm getting bored of it and I really don't like what it does on the highway when going uphill (low tone humming, makes your ears feels like they wanna implode) and I can't imagine doing a long trip with that. I've put it back to stock for now, but I've put some high temperature anti-seize on the gaskets and the bolts just in case I change my mind. BTW, I'd recommend you put a coat of that on your exhaust fittings if you go Hogzaust so it protects them. This is some seriously sticky stuff and won't wash off easily.
  2. Yeah the metal was free. The digital camera that took the vid wasn't mine. All I got is a crappy camera that takes barely recognisable videos without sound and as you can see, the pictures aren't that good either. And I noticed that I'l need to work on these spacers a little bit more because I noticed that they're not perfectly flat. So next week maybe. But what's really annoying me is that it's as thick as 3-4 washers. I don't want exhaust fumes to escape the gap.
  3. There's my new system I made with a piece of metal I found. It was a b*tch to make because that was some seriously hard steel. It might be a little bit too thick though. http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h228/strabismo/Spacers.jpg I'm installing them as soon as I can. Can't wait to hear what it does.
  4. That's what STG1 do. Legacy GT exhast sound video by vbpad - Photobucket@@AMEPARAM@@http://vid69.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid69.photobucket.com/albums/i79/vbpad/DSCF4209.flv@@AMEPARAM@@vid69@@AMEPARAM@@69@@AMEPARAM@@i79/vbpad/DSCF4209 Notice the crappy "pffpffpff" sound when idling and when the engine is turning off. STG2 solved that.
  5. Changed to staged 2 today. Seemed too loud at the begening but I'm getting used to it. That defenitely fixed the crappy idling sound problem. But I think I'l take some scrap metal plates and make myself something a little bit more sophesticated next week.
  6. I just went Hozaust STG 1 and all I can say is w00t!!!!! I drove it around for 15 minutes with a huge smile on my face and now I already want to go STG2 The only thing though is that it sounds very ugly at idle. Instead of a sweeeet rumble, it sounds more like a *pffpffpffpffpff*. Will a STG2 fix that?
