I've put about 5,000 miles on the car.  Haven't had any major problems yet.  The steering wheel has a pretty good shake to it once you get going fast enough but feels just fine at the speed limits 😇 It's probably the six year old tires, but I have balanced them so oh well.  Gave it a clay bar, polish and wax yesterday; because I drove it on the beach in Westport last weekend so thought I should treat it extra nice.  On the way home from the beach a 350Z was being extra douchey riding peoples asses and cutting through what little traffic was there.  For only having .1 less of a liter, and it was a manual, those cars are fuckin slow.  He stopped being douchey after I dusted him a couple times, the second time I even let him get the jump on me just to be sure.  Easy to know when someone is trying when they have a loud exhaust 🤣

Speaking of loud exhaust..... I want to do an electronically controlled cut out just before the muffler Y activated by an "X-mode" button from the Outbacks in the factory location, and Hella horns... cause well, flat bill subie vape bro shit. I kind of also want to lower it on H&R springs but I'm enjoying not needing to worry about curbs.

This color is ridiculously shiny, it's like a mirror. I love it AND hate it.

And then it started misting so obligatory water beads...

If I were you, I would change color. Too shiny for me. But, it's your call, of course.

I hope I didn't offend, just having some fun!

Is english your first language?  I checked several of your other posts and they were reported as human text. I have heard that the detectors have a difficult time with non-native english writers because of how their native language formulates a sentence.

Yes it is. And that's why I got so confused by this AI stuff. Really weird.

That post reads like ChatGPT or similar to me and that got me curious about those websites that check.... you be the judge 🤣

What the heck is going on 🤣 What is this tool you checked it with? I wanna give it a try.

P.S. Found it myself. And it actually freaked me out 😶 I was just hanging out on this forum and talking with people, and then some app from internet said that my messages are AI-generated.

    It's really creepy.

Showing my age.  @MitchRoyce posted in another thread I was responding to earlier with a similar post.  What is this ChatGPT/GPTZero stuff???  AI algorithms posting on forums?  Is it time for me to go completely off grid as the end of the world is obviously upon us?  Skynet anyone???

Kinda odd perspective, buddy. I'm real. I was just answering questions, maybe in the same style. Is that a crime?

  5. That's definitely not normal, but it could be caused by a few different things.

One possibility is that the fuse for your security system is blown, causing the light to malfunction. So it might be worth checking the fuse box to see if that's the issue.

Another possibility is that the alarm system itself is going bad, but if the alarm is still functioning properly, then that's probably not the case.

One other thing to consider is that there could be a wiring issue somewhere in the system, which could be causing the light to stay on. That could be a bit trickier to diagnose, but it's worth checking out if the fuse and alarm don't seem to be the problem.

  6. I don't have direct experience with that exact setup, but I can give you my two cents. First off, if you're not tracking your car and just doing long trips, then you may not need intercooler misters.

Sure, it can get hot after a while, but unless you're pushing your car hard for extended periods of time, the stock TMIC should do just fine. That being said, if you're looking for a little extra cooling power, then intercooler misters could be a good option. I've heard good things about the DEI Cry02 Intercooler water sprayer, and it's definitely worth considering.

And yeah, STIs come with intercooler sprayers as standard equipment, so there must be something to it. Ultimately, it comes down to what you want and how much you're willing to spend. If you think intercooler misters will benefit you and you're willing to drop the cash, then go for it.

Nice looking Legacy! Tell us more about it...

Sorry, didn't see your comment. Well, what can I say? it's not in the best condition, but it runs pretty well and gets me where I need to go.

It's got some wear and tear on the exterior, but I don't really care about that too much. I guess you can't see it on the photo, though. Under the hood, this baby's got a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, and let me tell you, it's got some zip to it! The all-wheel drive system is also pretty sweet, making it great for handling those rough roads.

The interior's not too shabby either, with comfortable seats and a decent sound system. Sure, it's got its quirks, like a bit of rust on the fenders and some dings here and there, but for $2500, I'm not complaining.

I don't have the Stage 2 maps, but I do have 3 versions of the Stage 1 high waste gate map that Cobb sent me while troubleshooting my car.

I wonder, if you have two Stage 1 maps and combine them, will they transform in the Stage 2 map? 😆

  9. If you're looking to pimp out your 22 Legacy XT, I got you covered. First things first, check out the STI lip and JDM grill, those will give you some serious street cred. As for exhausts, I've heard good things about the Invidia Q300 and Nameless axleback. And if you wanna go all out, you gotta get some coilovers to drop that ride height. Check out the BC Racing BR series or the Fortune Auto 500s. Hit up Subispeed or RallySportDirect for all your aftermarket needs, they got a great selection.

  10. One of my old buddies lives in Tokio, I asked him. If you're looking to upgrade your 22 Legacy Limited XT with some JDM goodies, you can try checking out some online stores like JapanParts, JDM Racing Motors, or RHDJapan. They specialize in JDM car parts and accessories, and they might have the grill and STI lip you're looking for. Make sure to double-check the fitment and compatibility with your ride before buying though

  11. First things first, it's important to figure out where those leaks are coming from. Have you checked your oil cooler and turbo gaskets? Those can be common culprits when it comes to oil leaks. It's also possible that you might need to replace some worn out seals or o-rings. Make sure to thoroughly inspect all of your hoses and connections, as those can also be potential sources of leaks. And don't forget to top off your fluids before you hit the road!

  12. It is true that if you want to replace the newer style tensioner with the older style, you will need to replace the mounting bracket. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where you can purchase one, but I would recommend checking with your local auto parts store or doing a quick online search. You may also want to check with a Subaru dealership to see if they have any available.

  13. It's awesome to see that you've been working on this car for a while now, tackling all the issues it had when you first got it. I'm sure it's been a fun and challenging journey so far, and I'm excited to see what's in store for the future of this project.

Those pictures you took might not be glamorous, but they still give us a glimpse of your ride and I can tell you've put in some work on it. I can't wait to see more pictures and updates on your progress.
