the journey of an overly maintained 3.6R
MitchRoyce replied to silverton's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Speaking of first cars. Saw my avatar? It's my current car. First Legacy I bought. It's kinda old fashioned, but I like it. But with my first truck (I'm a trucker) it was the very same thing. -

If I were you, I would change color. Too shiny for me. But, it's your call, of course. -

Yes it is. And that's why I got so confused by this AI stuff. Really weird. -

What the heck is going on What is this tool you checked it with? I wanna give it a try. P.S. Found it myself. And it actually freaked me out I was just hanging out on this forum and talking with people, and then some app from internet said that my messages are AI-generated. It's really creepy. -

Kinda odd perspective, buddy. I'm real. I was just answering questions, maybe in the same style. Is that a crime? -

That's definitely not normal, but it could be caused by a few different things. One possibility is that the fuse for your security system is blown, causing the light to malfunction. So it might be worth checking the fuse box to see if that's the issue. Another possibility is that the alarm system itself is going bad, but if the alarm is still functioning properly, then that's probably not the case. One other thing to consider is that there could be a wiring issue somewhere in the system, which could be causing the light to stay on. That could be a bit trickier to diagnose, but it's worth checking out if the fuse and alarm don't seem to be the problem. -
22 xt looking for jdm grill?
MitchRoyce replied to JohnsLegacyXT's topic in Seventh Generation Legacy (2020 - )
Now that's odd. Maybe he just didn't understand what I was asking. Well, damn. -
I don't have direct experience with that exact setup, but I can give you my two cents. First off, if you're not tracking your car and just doing long trips, then you may not need intercooler misters. Sure, it can get hot after a while, but unless you're pushing your car hard for extended periods of time, the stock TMIC should do just fine. That being said, if you're looking for a little extra cooling power, then intercooler misters could be a good option. I've heard good things about the DEI Cry02 Intercooler water sprayer, and it's definitely worth considering. And yeah, STIs come with intercooler sprayers as standard equipment, so there must be something to it. Ultimately, it comes down to what you want and how much you're willing to spend. If you think intercooler misters will benefit you and you're willing to drop the cash, then go for it.

Got 2003 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon GT-B
MitchRoyce replied to MitchRoyce's topic in Legacy Photos (2004 and older)
Sorry, didn't see your comment. Well, what can I say? it's not in the best condition, but it runs pretty well and gets me where I need to go. It's got some wear and tear on the exterior, but I don't really care about that too much. I guess you can't see it on the photo, though. Under the hood, this baby's got a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, and let me tell you, it's got some zip to it! The all-wheel drive system is also pretty sweet, making it great for handling those rough roads. The interior's not too shabby either, with comfortable seats and a decent sound system. Sure, it's got its quirks, like a bit of rust on the fenders and some dings here and there, but for $2500, I'm not complaining. -
I wonder, if you have two Stage 1 maps and combine them, will they transform in the Stage 2 map?

22 legacy XT aftermarket parts list
MitchRoyce replied to JohnsLegacyXT's topic in Seventh Generation Legacy (2020 - )
If you're looking to pimp out your 22 Legacy XT, I got you covered. First things first, check out the STI lip and JDM grill, those will give you some serious street cred. As for exhausts, I've heard good things about the Invidia Q300 and Nameless axleback. And if you wanna go all out, you gotta get some coilovers to drop that ride height. Check out the BC Racing BR series or the Fortune Auto 500s. Hit up Subispeed or RallySportDirect for all your aftermarket needs, they got a great selection. -
22 xt looking for jdm grill?
MitchRoyce replied to JohnsLegacyXT's topic in Seventh Generation Legacy (2020 - )
One of my old buddies lives in Tokio, I asked him. If you're looking to upgrade your 22 Legacy Limited XT with some JDM goodies, you can try checking out some online stores like JapanParts, JDM Racing Motors, or RHDJapan. They specialize in JDM car parts and accessories, and they might have the grill and STI lip you're looking for. Make sure to double-check the fitment and compatibility with your ride before buying though -
need help! going on long road trip
MitchRoyce replied to Dreamnara8282's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
First things first, it's important to figure out where those leaks are coming from. Have you checked your oil cooler and turbo gaskets? Those can be common culprits when it comes to oil leaks. It's also possible that you might need to replace some worn out seals or o-rings. Make sure to thoroughly inspect all of your hoses and connections, as those can also be potential sources of leaks. And don't forget to top off your fluids before you hit the road! -
New vs Old Timing Tensioner Bracket
MitchRoyce replied to gorillafan208's topic in Second Generation Legacy (1994 - 1998)
It is true that if you want to replace the newer style tensioner with the older style, you will need to replace the mounting bracket. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where you can purchase one, but I would recommend checking with your local auto parts store or doing a quick online search. You may also want to check with a Subaru dealership to see if they have any available. -
darkstarxi's '07 spec.B Project
MitchRoyce replied to darkstarxi's topic in Legacy Photos (2005-2009)
It's awesome to see that you've been working on this car for a while now, tackling all the issues it had when you first got it. I'm sure it's been a fun and challenging journey so far, and I'm excited to see what's in store for the future of this project. Those pictures you took might not be glamorous, but they still give us a glimpse of your ride and I can tell you've put in some work on it. I can't wait to see more pictures and updates on your progress. -
