another satisfied JMP customer. I've since sold my car, unfortunately, but while I had it, his turbo ran great and made me quite happy. And he was great to work with - took the time just to chat with me on the phone about this and that and whatever and to make sure I had everything straight.

I'll be joining the club next Monday!

Hey BD - what are your plans? I moved this past spring and don't have a shop space yet. Not sure if/when I'll be taking cars in again.
Not exactly sure. I can just tell that after 116k or so miles, this stock guy's starting to go. But I have a list of things that I want to do. I would actually love to pick your brain about where to go for a new turbo. I don't want anything crazy -- it's still my daily, after all -- but as long as I'm replacing the thing, I wouldn't mind bumping up in power a little bit...
Where'd you move to? How's the fam?

Hey Rick, been a while...I think I see a turbo swap on the horizon. You still around?

red 05 gt sedan with at least a jdm grille on...i think Linnaean St. in Cambridge a couple days back. I wasn't in mine, though, so you wouldn't have recognized me (I didn't wave).

Woohoo, a successful spotting! No offense meant by the "looked stock" comment... just meant that in the short time I had to look, nothing jumped out at me as clearly aftermarket. But car looked well cared for and great!
No worries, didn't take offense. I actually deliberately kept it stock-looking, for the most part. Only visual cues are the mudflaps, mesh grille up front, and exhaust. Oh and wheels in the summer. But you wouldn't really have been able to spot any of that from alongside 2 lanes over where you were.

You're waving at too many n/a owners. They wouldn't recognize another Subaru if you got in a wreck with them. Restrict the waves to turbo owners and your hit rate should go way up. Helps if you're not on the stock wheels. Remember, they aren't used to noticing LGTs, but they're friendly enough if you can get their attention.
Haha, not my first rodeo, man. I seldom wave at the NA's, and I'm not on stock wheels in the summertime. Just the way it goes. My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts for waving at all

Exchanged waves/thumbs up with a blue (not sure if NB or ABP) 4th Gen GT on Storrow drive Saturday morning (10-11am). Car looked stock, but nice and clean!
me!
ABP, and not especially stock. Nice to see a fellow LGTer around. I do wave, but I rarely get anything back except from the impreza crowd.

Somebody behind me in an 05-07 lgt in JP just a couple of minutes ago. I think abp, hid's, front plate mounted off to the side a bit.

Debadged ABP LGT on 93N today about 11:30. Got the thumbs-up!
Who was it?

spotted a red gt sedan (06? Didn't get a good look at headlight color or at wheels not moving) near south station in boston this evening a little before 8 with an SPT sticker, and I think an SPT exhaust. Got a wave. Anyone?

you're a dead hooker in a trunk?

You could try Tasker...it's REALLY configurable.

black modded gt wagon on 28 in medford around 6:30-7ish? You were getting a speeding ticket and didn't look too happy about it.
-
anyone recognize/know if this motor's owner is a member on here?
spotted tonight outside Shaw's in Beverly tonight. It's an 05 GT, not a spec.
I don't think that's an 05...(wheels, headlights, foglight bezels...)

You can add me to that list (Lynn, MA) and if there's still 99 people then I'll make it an even 100!
Haha, honestly, I gave up on keeping that list up to date way back in 2008. It just wasn't worth the time and effort.
Still, happy to see so many massholes in here!

silver wagon with a FMIC on Route 9 right by the Brookline/Boston line - I was heading E, you W. Not sure if you could see me wave, but I did.

A couple days ago I was at metrowest subaru in natick, ma to get a wheel bearing replaced (yay for warranty on those to 100k!), and I saw a silver 05-07 gt wagon with a front mount and a groovy hood from an outback. It had to be somebody's...capestylz, maybe?
-
Yeah.. this was the cheapest I could find.. and not having to deal with a core exchange made it all that much better.
I just pray that I got a good one that doesn't vibrate or click. Seems these knockoffs can be hit or miss, but EMPI seems to be the top knockoff so hopefully ill be ok. Does say "MADE IN CHINA" right on the box though.
I think I'm gonna stick with Autozone. At least that way if something goes wrong, I can go somewhere and yell at somebody (and make sure they follow through on the limited lifetime warranty they advertise).
Who's been here 10+ years?

I'm baaaaaaack! Left when I sold my LGT in the Summer of 2016.
Had a 2008 impreza hatch (my wife's, sold in 2018).
Bought a 2018 Outback. Still have that.
Just got a 2014 Outback. Need some help with it...hence coming back!
