If you want, I might have some shims laying around…need to check. I bought some but need to make sure they’re correct. Pads I ended up putting on the car queasy came with them..

It's fine. I'll just grab the rock auto ones next time I need to change the pads.

Sorry I’m a little late to the party on this one how do those feel? Bought a set but stupid “Sub model” drop down didn’t have a “gt” option so ended up with 2.5i pads and my stupid self didn’t bother confirming the p/n…

    PS car looks fantastic!

The pads feel great. The car stops infinitely better than the stock pads. I also haven't noticed a lot of brake dust either. I tried to get new brake pad shims but was only able to find one side of the front brake shims from Subaru. The right part numbers for the pads from Project Mu is F916 for the fronts and R912 for the rears.

Huge fan of that wheel/tire setup, looks great!

Is there any rubbing on bumps during hard cornering?

Just a tad. However on mostly normal flat roads it does not rub.

I just finished my 2nd round of autocross. I had to borrow my friends tire waterer to keep heat down and not chunk the brand new tires.

  4. Whiteline arms and alignment were installed today! Had to raise the car slightly to have it not rub but overall I am satisfied with the height. One of the eccentric bolts was rusted into the bushing sleeve but I had the lockout kit (KCA307) to replace them anyways. This car isn't even rusty! It's from California and it still had a seized rear eccentric bolt.

Anyways, the car does not rub. The ride quality has substantially improved.

Now that i got my car back, ive been itching to put these in. P2M grey and black checkered floor mats. These are for the gd impreza chassis but itll fit in the legacy, not perfectly but itll do. I always wanted checkered floor mats especially in red and black but the only company i found that can make em costs over $400.. these p2m were only $100 on ebay and theyre pretty quality mats. Im glad i got these becuz they match pretty well with the black carpet and the t/b sti checkered door sills. The sti floor mats i had before looked out of place and belongs in the forester for sure. What do u think? Also preserving the spec B red floor mats and putting them away.

Wow this looks awesome. I might have to grab some for myself! There are so many Legacy specific parts that I’ve never seen that you have acquired. Especially the screen in the armrest.

Wow, nice work with the fender rolling. 9.5" +35 looks tough.

What size spacers did you use with the stock wheels?

It’s a little higher offset actually. It’s a +38. For the stock wheels I was using a 1 inch spacer so about 25mm.

  7. Rolled and pulled the rears today. This is the first time I rolled fenders and I’d like to say it went smoothly because I got a quality fender roller.

Aside from that, I want to match the front height but I might go ahead and get Whiteline arms and lock bolt.

  8. I did a little test fit yesterday to see the clearance for the strut. Looks like I need to be at about -2.5 degrees of front camber. The rears should be chilling with a roll. They are currently at about -2 degrees. I am planning on running a 255/35/

  9. Ok. Today I have resolved the issue. Apparently the Stage 0 tune was causing the car to overboost to 18-19 psi and cut throttle since it could not provide fuel for that boost. The Accessport is currently uninstalled and the car does not do that anymore. I thought this was very weird but I have accepted that I do not need the Accessport since I don't plan on adding power mods.

Swap the whole rear end to pre facelift? I think it’s super easy, direct plug and play with the bumper cover and lights only.

I think the 08-09 looks better personally, and one of those guys will trade you.

I was considering swapping a to prefacelift and you are correct about everything working with the car. Only things I would need to buy are bumper brackets which are inexpensive. However, finding a prefacelift rear bumper that is in OK shape and local is either expensive, non existent, or for a wagon.

I think currently, I will stick to my current rear end and limit my spending on this car. The only modifications I am considering is getting a different exhaust or getting a Cusco rear sway-bar.

@reallyfunnymomentUnfortunately, the plastic itself is red on facelift models, not just an insert. Some decent modification can be done to a set of prefacelift and facelifts to combine them into a cleared facelift set but I wouldn't say its easy for the average joe.

Yeah, I just recently found out about this. I wonder if using an acrylic sheet would work or if it is just better to get prefacelift lenses and fit them onto a facelift set of tails.
