that's good to know. for retorquing the bolts, do you simply set the pressure valve to the appropriate torque value and tighten? i.e. for the rear bolt, do i set the pressure valve to 118 lbs? or do i still need a torque wrench?
It doesn't take much to drive an impact wrench. I have a pancake compressor and it works just fine. The worst thing that can happen is that you have to stop for a while.Don't forget to set the pressure valve to 90 psi.
Make sure you use a quality 6 point socket specifically made for impact wrenches.

i'm planning on tackling a strut swap this weekend and i'm really a tool newbie. do you think i need to go out and get 1/2" sockets or will 3/8" ones handle the kind of torque i need?
also i have a pancake compressor for nailing. do you think i could use an impact wrench with that compressor or would it be too weak to drive the wrench?

was the bit about hitting the intrepid true or a joke?

i don't think it was instant on. i was directly behind the volvo in the line of fire and didn't get a read when the cop hit him.
the device looks like a handheld little box, not a typical radar gun.
They are probably using "instant on" radar. It only cycles when the trigger is depressed or something, until then its off and undetectable. If your detector goes off thats the signal that you've been caughtIf you are lucky then the person in front of you gets painted and your detector will go off.
"Instant on" is getting quite popular around here.

me too. the merritt was great for unmonitored motoring for the past 2 years. i used to travel 80-85, but not now (unless i'm behind someone:icon_cool ).

huge warning to all merritt pkwy drivers!! the staties have finally decided to seriously patrol the merritt. i drive it every day and in the last week, they have stepped up enforcement between exits 39 and 48.
i saw over 10 staties on my drive home with 3-4 of them gunning off the road. i came so close to getting a ticket tonight. luckily, there was a volvo wagon who was speeding in front of me and i sensed there was a cop around the area and i slowed down while he didn't. needless to say, the volvo is hating me now:icon_mrgr
what type of radar do they use? my passport didn't even go off:icon_conf
for the next few days/weeks gotta be a boyscout on my commute!

how was the audi test/drive? i was signed up but couldn't get down there. sounded like lots of fun!
I saw 2 Black GT Ltd with NJ plates at Belmont Race Track for the Audi Test Drive. -
hey cool! that was me. i didn't think you saw me. you're the first lgt i've seen from the forums...most lgt drivers around here tend to be boring folk. you live in the area?
silver DRL disabled LGT in Hamden yesterday evening, exchanged waves.
