  1. the Harness side where the sensor plugs in about 2.5 inches pass the connector the solder looks good has continuity doesn't appear to be shorting to anything and has shrink tube on it for protection and also found out after the post that the battery was still connected at the time of wire damage.
  2. I'm trying to help a friend out with his Legacy. He had a so called mechanic do some work on his car and it has turned into a nightmare . originally the mech was supposed to do a brake job which turned into lower ball joints and a knuckle and transaxle replacement also 4 new tires . the problem started when the mech snapped the left front SS wire up stream on the harness side he then soldered the wire and and put shrink tube over the repair. now the dash looks like a Christmas tree, it has CEL ,ABS, Traction control light is on cruise control ERR SS tire pressure light is also on and none of the codes will clear I have checked the OHMS on the sensors and they check ok. RF is 8 ohms LF 10 OHMS (which is the side that was repaired) also this side has had the transaxle and knuckle replaced no matter what we have tried can't clear the err ss code which I believe is causing the other codes just founf out that the battery was still connected when the speed sensor wire was snapped does any one have any suggestions? it would be much appreciated
