  1. So I had a small leak coming out of both sides of the transmission near the axles. I decided to change one axle seal and see if it fixed it on that side. I swapped it out on the driverside and now it leaks worse. I double-checked I put the driverside seal on (Part #806735290). I might have pushed it in too far though. It isn't flush with the face but I'm not sure if that matters. It's a quick swap so I decided I'd just try. I'm just looking for confirmation that I am going in the right direction. Get a new seal and put it flush with the trans? Is there another way it could be leaking? I've seen some people unscrew the big ring around it but I'm not ambitious enough to mess with my differential preload.
  2. You called it. The fork wasn't on the pivot causing it to put pressure on the pressure plate.
  3. So i just bought a 2005 outback xt with a blown 4th gear so I swapped in a ty755vb7aa-jt out of a forester. Trans shifts fine but will not fully engage and slips once I hit boost. The clutch doesn't bite until the very top of the stroke. Basically doesn't fully engage. I have no idea what to do. The car drove totally fine with the old transmission but this one is not the case. Same clutch, same pressure plate, flywheel. The only thing carried from the new transmission was the clutch fork and throwout bearing (clutch release bearing). I'm stumped. What could it be? What should I look for?
