  1. Thanks guys, this is great info! I'm really looking to have a comfortable experience as I never track this car, and the streets here in Mexico suck so much, that I sold my '11 STI just because of how uncomfortable it was, smooth streets are the exception, not the norm I have a good mechanic here and labor is cheap enough that it's probably cheaper to go with bushings vs full arms. I just changed my steering rack, so that'll have to wait
  2. My car is nearing 170K miles, and the usual problems with old bushings are popping up: Incessant squeaking (Already lubricated everything), and particulary "bumpy" ride, even with brand new KYB struts. I'm thinking about just getting all the bushings changed as I assume the rubber is pretty hard by now, and it's contributing to the bumpy ride. From what I can gather, any aftermarket replacement is going to make the ride even stiffer, so should I just get the OEM bushings? The only I might get aftermarket would be the rear ones for the front lower control arm, as from what I've read here, are the first to go due to not-so-good design. Open to any and all suggestions!
  3. Do you have any pics? I'm considering going this route, but I'm not sure I can cut the plastic and make it look nice :/
  4. Hey! Long story short, bought a used '05 LGT and it came with a horrid $50 BOV that I need to get rid off. So I have the OEM BPV, but I'm missing the hose that goes into the turbo inlet. I haven't even looked at what they did to remove it, probably just a plug. My question is, do I need to buy a stock/special hose? Or is it feasible to buy a regular hose and cut it to size? Anyone have the part# for the stock hose too?
  5. Yeah he did say he did take it to be protuned, and the car does boost smoothly though since I've found so many issues with it, I don't want to push it until I feel I've fixed them. I guess I'll clean up the splicing (it's just there with electrical tape) and find a good place to put the EBC to sit in. Thanks!
  6. So I was in the process of bleeding my clutch cylinder when I found that there's an electronic boost controller spliced to the stock lines right under the IC. Previous owner claims that he upgraded to a VF52 since the VF40 blew up, but I've found he's lied to me several times so I don't even know if this is a VF52 or not. What I want to know, could this EBC be put in place to help the ECU with boost? Or should I just get rid of it? Is it just a matter or removing the electrical lines, and reconnecting the single hose to the turbo? Boost controller is this one: https://www.amazon.com/MAC-35A-AAA-DDBA-1BA-CONTROL-SOLENOID-B238300/dp/B00YBN3DRO Some pics: https://i.imgur.com/tTtJyqb.jpg https://i.imgur.com/uYDwL1g.jpg
