  1. Yep the valve is good after checking that i spent a long time removing the bottom egr pipe due to its location it was a pain to get off but its turns out that was also clogged and after i cleaned that one out light is gone! i have drove 250 miles since and have not seen the light! Im so happy to say I have finally beat the annoying light! Big shout out and thank you to Painless for helping me and sending me the EGR part of the service manual!
  2. Well after taking the upper EGR pipe off it was clogged up pretty bad so i cleaned it really well and it still has not fixed the code. it keeps coming back. I think next im going to try and remove and clean the bottom EGR pipe and check out and maybe replace my MAP sensor. After that im lost on what to do.
  3. THANK YOU! yep i have a 2.5 ima go take the top EGR pipe off and see what it looks like and the pictures in the PDF look just like mine. again thank you!
  4. Yes i have cleared it with a ODB2 scanner after the work and i do not have a full service manual. I know some cars have EGR temp sensors but im not sure if the legacys do I don’t know much about newer EGR systems or anything on my car i really haven’t had issues this is my first time seeing the check engine light.
  5. Hello! I have been having issues trying to get rid of my check engine light. I have a 2015 subaru legacy and i keep getting a P0400 code. I have replaced the EGR valve and the code still seems to show up what should i move onto next? I have cleaned the system near the valve and dont seem to have a blockage. im thinking about moving on and checking the EGR Temp sensor but im not sure where it it located or if that would be causing the issue. Any help would be great thanks!
