  1. I didn't have any specific plans just yet for taking it racing, which probably plays into me not having any solid ideas with what to do with it! I know that even stock this car is going to be super fun, im already having a blast with it and I'm pretty much solely driving it 10 miles to work and back most days! So many great points on this thread, the headgasket/open deck issue is coming up in my research too so thats definitely on the list along with brakes/suspension! I shan't be chasing racecar status, id just like to know that the H6 isn't gonna blow up in the next 10k if I start tinkering and (hopefully) improving!
  2. I'll retire to my new state of being completely humbled then shall I? You make fair points, and I promise i'm taking them on board! I'm young and giddy with an H6 under my right foot so i'm dreaming big; This thread is the start of my research journey so genuinely thank you for this! Oh, and *someone's* racecar looks utterly awesome. Proper desktop-wallpaper material that!
  3. Sound advice! I'll be investigating Max Capacity! Thanks for the pointers
  4. As you can probably tell im starting off fairly clueless, but the end goal is to make a decent track car that I could still daily. I was thinking of turbo-charging it but for the price and effort of running boost I could hopefully rebuild the engine with uprated bits and make some decent gains. Like you say, Suspension and handling are definitely on my list of things! Thanks
  5. My '07 Legacy Estate (R Spec B H6 of course!) has 145000 miles on it... Interior/Bodywork is in fantastic condition for it's age, and the motor has been looked after very well... but it's a project car so i'm looking for gains and boost over the next year or two. Should i rebuild the engine with uprated bits, or just go with a completely different motor? I'm indecisive and i'm not too familiar with the financial side of this so any help/pointers are appreciated! Cheers
