  1. I guess nobody else has had this issue or knows what it is?
  2. Im sure its probably been covered before but my search didnt yield any threads with the same issue. I have a 2006 Legacy 2.5l Manual trans non-turbo that is my daily driver. Ive been having issues on and off the past year or so but it was so infrequent i never worried about it until recently. I did the manual code reading and the only P Code it throws is 2138 (Throttle Position Sensor) which makes sense. It was throwing just P0420 (i think) which was evap related and i recently replaced O2 sensors with no resolve. Now that it is throwing 2138, My question is, do i just replace the TPS or is there a trick to cleaning the old one and cleaning the throttle body to try to fix it? What the car is actually doing is the RPMs will surge like you are pressing the peddle down to 2500 rpms. At this point it loses all power. Now, this usually happens just after startup on warmer days or after i drive it, park it for a short time and then start it right back up indicating it is temperature related. It also recently started happening while driving. I never worried about it before because i would turn the key off and let it sit for a few seconds. When i try to start it again, it would turn over but not fire. Let sit a few more seconds and she'd fire right up. Before I sink a ton of time and money into chasing a problem, was just curious what everyones experience and/or suggestions would be.
  3. I run Napa Gold made by Wix. They give discounts on quantity and for $6/pc, i change em every 3k miles
