Guest *Jedimaster*
They look nice. Now all you have to do is find some JDM mud.

jim1969
Looks good. I put my JDM ones in about 3 weeks ago. Easy install. I recommend an offset screwdriver for the rear bumper. I hope they're as easy to get off since some a-hole hit and ran my car and I'll need a new rear bumper.

Opie
Sorry, they aren't listed on the site, but Japan Parts will get you any item you want if you have the part number. You just have to send them an e-mail and ask for a quote + shipping to your address (Include the part number and a breif description of the part). They were around 22,500-JPYshipped which currently converts to around $215.00 US (Price fluctuates depending on the Yen vs. the Dollar). Here are the part numbers that fit the 2.5GT & 2.5i: Painted Standard Mud Guards Sedan (Front & Rear Set) - J1017AG230## Painted Standard Mud Guards Wagon (Front & Rear Set) - J1017AG220## ...and make sure to replace the ## with the color code for your car: ## - Designates necessary color code for painted parts. Atlantic Blue Pearl = BE Regal Blue Pearl = BH Champagne Gold = GA Obsidian Black Pearl = VW Garnet Red Pearl = RO Brillant Silver Metallic = TE Satin White Pearl = WZ I've collected a bunch of part numbers here, JDM, EDM & USDM: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7871 Legacy05GT - I'll try and get a pic of the whole car with the mud guards this week. Jonny Bradtmueller
Opie your car looks really good. The JDM mud flaps look much better than the plain black ones.

BlkLegGt
Okay. Opie, they look nice. But...why do we have to go to Japan to get mudguards for our sedans? And pay such an exorbitant price. With every Honda/Acura I've ever had, you walk in to parts, give 'em $50-$70 buck and you've got a nice set of premolded flaps. Shame on you Subaru for not better helping us protect our car. It's just ridiculous that we have different shift knobs to choose from and no flaps stateside.
Opie
You can get the flat black flaps for the '05 Legacy's from any Subaru dealer, just not the painted ones.
BlkLegGt
It's my understanding that Subie does not make a molded set for the sedan?! Has that recently changed (stateside)?
monty1
Only the black unpainted ones are available from some dealers. The below dealer seems to have a good deal on them and their shipping cost is reasonable. The url for the sedan is: http://www.subarupartsforyou.com/cp...php?partid=2271 For the wagon, it is: http://www.subarupartsforyou.com/cp...php?partid=2272 Pricing on them is: List price - $144, their discounted price - $99.00. racerdave
So... functionally, how good are they at keeping the crud off the car?
SBT
Opie, Quick question regarding the wheel-side portion of the guard. Is the inside of the guard black/dark gray plastic or is it painted too. Given that these are JDM, have you seen the Satin White Pearl (Code WZ) version of these as the JDM only has Artic White (?) and it isn't supposed to match our USDM SW Pearl. Thanks in advance. Opie
So... functionally, how good are they at keeping the crud off the car? Good so far, the couple of wet mornings we've had haven't gotten the car to dirty at all, definitly better than without the flaps.
SBT
Good so far, the couple of wet mornings we've had haven't gotten the car to dirty at all, definitly better than without the flaps. I cannot believe how dirty the side of my wagon gets without the guards. All my other Subes have them and they stay much cleaner along the sides. The backend will always be dirty due to downdraft/vacuum at the tail but the sides could stay much cleaner with these. I wonder if I could get the USDM LGT guards and have my paint guy do up a set for me in SWP. I'll have to check with him and see as I don't think the JDM white will work. racerdave
SBT.... if you do that (or at least *can* do that) let me know before you have the guy paint them... I'd be interested too. (if they use the proper flex additives in the paint, it should be ok).
