Redcam1
Yea, you gotta watch the hell out setting up the stages during recce... Oh this wasn't during recce, this was an 1/8 mile or less away from the end of the stage.
987687
Welp. I went to the junkyard and pulled a 2.2 shortblock out of a 90's legacy by myself in the snow. It really sucked. I bought some gaskets and stuff. Yanked the motor out of the wagon, swapped the heads onto the 2.2. Dumped it back in, and bam, I'm back on the road. I only have one picture of the whole thing because it's freezing cold and I was pissed throughout the whole project. Not the first time I've expressed dislike of the ej25, and probably not the last. http://i.imgur.com/efEJqX2l.jpg
dug-e-fresh
Snow fun: Steeper than it looks and nothing but deep mud: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/yourphotos?pid=5934002367681614930&oid=102335539943459711895
987687
http://i.imgur.com/0kviasf.png I hit a pot hole yesterday. Yay shitty roads in maine. I should note I ran a stop sign over last year and that kinda weakened the bumper.

987687
Within 2 weeks of getting it fixed up and on the road 2 years ago. I overcooked a corner at nigh in the snow, didn't realize how much the stupid pig would under steer, and drove off a 6' embankment. Running over a stop sign and kinda screwing up the bumper and stuff...

987687
So I had to go into work today on saturday to finish a project... My boss needed the dump truck for the morning. I wanted to be done, so I loaded all the unused stones and offcuts into my car. Who knew you could put about 2500lbs in the back of an outback.... and it doesn't break in half! http://i.imgur.com/wAX3hJF.jpg With the 2.2 it was ungodly slow, but hey, it made it! kzr750r1
Reminds me when my parents blew the first motor on their 65 VW van pulling river rocks out of the America river. One of these days I'm going to hit some of those goat trails in the outback. Not to poach rocks though. Was fun to see them rebuild ans start the booger themselves though. Had to been the early 70's. otar
Had a little fun before I put the coilovers on it http://i.imgur.com/LrBWLUV.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jOmQKfx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pFqlCYi.jpg http://i.imgur.com/w3mXrgh.jpg
987687
Why would you put coilovers on? you're ruining the outbackness of the outback. Now it's a subaru shaped honda civic.

bradze
coilovers on an outback? unless your putting a gt35r turbo on an ez30 the car isn't gonna provide much power to have any type of fun. looks like you had more fun before you put em on. it looks to me like you should try rallycross or something similar. but no matter what you do, i hope you have fun, its just coilovers on an outback seems like a waste to me. As much as it frustrates me when people tell me what to do with car, I don't like to argue. That said, I didn't buy this thing to offroad. I actually wanted the gt wagon, but the outback was the right price at the right time so I got it. And yes, a turbo build will be underway once the funds are there. And hey, I can always put the old suspension back on if I every need to hit the dirt again and who doesn't like more pics? http://i.imgur.com/amCNOZB.jpg http://i.imgur.com/O4ZGd37.jpg

I think I'd have more fun with coilovers, just saying. Plus you can usually go higher than stock with coilovers as well.
Redcam1
Too many herrafrushed outbacks on here, let's see some more of the (ab)used ones! If it's not screaming for it's rear springs or going sideways in mud, you're not trying hard enough. Examples of how to abuse an outback: Use it to haul around motors, what you can't see is that there's an ej25 shortblock infront of that one. http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z314/987687/IMG_4715_zpsbd0ee171.jpg Found the picture of my friend's 3.3 the day he bought it from the junkyard! bradze
sorry to be such a dick. it looks like you really enjoyed playing with your outback in the dirt. why not get another car for street stuff or whatever you have planned. you can pick up a nice wrx for like $8k. if you really like the asphalt, awd gets boring. part of the reason i left behind my evo. get a miata with your tax return and put in a turbo. and then you can go play in the mud in the outback, and all in the same day i can't decide which is more fun, dirt or asphalt formula cars were in my past the last few years i stuck to lapping and autox but lately ive discovered rallyx and offroadish stuff and mud pits http://www.mysubie.com/user_images/v1/vehicle/555/v1_vehicle_555_8a1a11437d6e_8762_200.jpghttp://www.mysubie.com/user_images/v1/vehicle/555/v1_vehicle_555_8a1a11437d6e_8717_200.jpghttp://www.mysubie.com/user_images/v1/vehicle/555/v1_vehicle_555_8a1a11437d6e_876_200.jpg

kyle808
My Outback hauled all my crap for a year of college plus 4 wheels and tires, and did it with ease. Barely even squatted. Coilovers come friday!!!!
987687
If it's not squatting, you gotta try harder. Few thousand lbs of rocks, firewood, pack it so full of power tools and hand tools no more fit.... etc.... Where the bumpstops hit the metal place on the back control arm is all shiny on my car, the rest is rusty. Yes... the bumpstops have worn the rust off the trailing arm. That's how shitty I am to my car
