Hi all, Just curious, does anyone know from experience what the color of the rear turn signals is on the Sedan? Is it orange or red? Any info is appreciated...as I can't remember. Thanks, i.

thanks gentlemen. Curious, opie, but is the turn signal different than the brake light, or is it that one is stationary while the other one is blinking during a turn? Does that make sense? i.e. I am braking, and making a left turn...what happens? later, i.

gotcha, thanks. So in effect, the brake light is the bottom half of the assembly, plus 1/4 for the reverse light, and 1/4 for the turn signal. thanks again, i.

I am sorry to belabor this point. The upper portion is the turnsignal - got it. The white section is the reverse, obviously That leaves the bottom to be the brake AND tail light? do the brake and tail share the same bulb in the lower half? are they split up? Pics would be awesome. I'm working on a design for replacement sedan tail lights that would incorporate LEDs like caddy and the later e39 5series BMW, and rear fog lights. I doubt it'll be done, but it's just something I like to do in my spare time. I'll post it if I ever get it drawn up.

Why doesnt the USA just use the orange markers like the rest of the world, I personally hate the red turn signals on cars. If my wifes get a GT I will be getting a set of tail lights that blink orange from Aust when I visit home. They should plug right in and work correct? or could the US ones be modified to blink orange?

The color is determined by the color of the lens, rather than the color of the bulb. OZ tail lights with amber signals should work, as long as they use a bulb that is a DOT standard bulb (most probably are.) so that you can replace the bulbs if they burn out.

The Impreza line has the orange lenses, so does the Forester... :( I don't understand. Edit: That should have been orange turn signal, the lense is clear and bulb orange.

Can someone from a non-USDM Legacy GT please post a pic of a sedan with the orange turn signals in the rear? and post the specs of the bulbs/wiring/harness so that some of us could compare. thanks, i.
