Plan on getting catless up and down pipes also. Dont need alot more power than i has now (family wagon). So should i go stock vf 40 or maybe the vf46? Thought id see what you guys thought. Max Capacity Posted April 22, 2013 Share Posted April 22, 2013 I went with a VF52 because it was easy. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. CoolHandLuke12 Posted April 22, 2013 Share Posted April 22, 2013 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ vf52, you won't regret it, otherwise i can sell u a vf40, needs to be rebuilt, seen someone on ebay that rebuilds from $250-300, little/to no shaft play, seals i believe were leaking, has about 60,000k, no damage to shafts or anything like that. You can run the VF52 on stock fueling just as easily as the 16G. They're very similar. Both can gain a little from aftermarket fueling, but stock fueling is easily doable.
