G5892
Ive been chasing down a leak for LONG time now, and I just cant find it. Ive check all the boost/vacuum line connections that go to and from the intake manifold. Ive checked the bpv gasket, the intake (ks tech), IC pipe to throttle body connection, and IC pipe to the top of the turbo. All these seem good, but my fuel trims are still weird. My trims (A-C) are not pegged at +15, but they usually hang around +10. Sometimes they drop down below +5 but not for long. My D range trim is seems normal, and it hangs around -1.2 usually. The two places where I suspect there might be a leak is the crossover pipe, or the turbo inlet pipe. Is there any symptom(s) that will point to one of these parts leaking? I really dont want to go through the work of taking off the inlet pipe if im not sure thats the problem. Yes I am protuned for all these parts. ibr_adam09
A torn inlet will read + , running lean. A vac/boost leak will probably be a mix of + and - as it's post turbo. (A vac leak becomes a boost leak when you accelerate) I'd just run a boost leak test. Another possibility is your o-rings between the intake manifold and tumblr valves. Boost seems to be fine. Hitting 20 with no problems.
