dumb question

Recommended Posts

Cool, I like the diffuser the sus bumper has, I think wagon bumpers are wider than sedan bumpers. I have been looking for an sus bumper for quite some time to put on my sedan, but have failed miserably locally. Nearest one I found n phoenix for 120 bucks.

I grew up with the only dumb question was an un-asked question.

Yes, I was basically asking if sedan bumpers would work on wagons..

Apparently not.

I want an outback bumper because the rear diffuser thingy I actually wanna cut out and have it be open.

Reason I asked is because I have a parts SUS in my garage

I though about that zues, but I think the Brighton bumper has to steep of a cutout for the muffler that where id need to cut it to put on the diffuser might show a gap. I was thinking moreso just cutting it out and leaving it open (like scca spec miata's). No one has done one like that as I've seen. It would look cool as hell in my head

Have you seen the two part plastic repair kit from 3m and 15 minute urethane bond? The urethane bond makes a reaction similar to welding and is sandable. The two part mix of plastic repair is like bondo for plastic, I have done some extensive bumper cover repairs with that stuff, I mean holes you can put your fist in.

Good to know Justin. That might make it more clean looking, but if I end up autox or rallyx this year, I kinda wanna go for the ratty, tracked look.

I tend to try and put my own spin on things.

But I can think of a few things that I could use that stuff for.

Definitely, don't want to put your sweat in something that may get trashed in 15 minutes of fun. They are good products, I like to tinker with things as well...tastefully.

A friend of mine came to me with an s15 chargespeed carbon diffuser to somehow mold it into his. Plastic 350z rear bumper it came out pretty sharp looking, those are the two main products I used for it and painters finishing putty for the few 40e grit roughs that had to be covered, had to cut and make tabs and everything..he was just happy to not spend 1500 for the chargespeed full cover.
