Rick Towers
I have a 1996 Legacy wagon. When i start the car both fans are off, as the engine gets hotter both fans start running. Are both fans supposed to turn on even when the A/C is not in use?

snederhiser
Hello; The a/c has temp sensor in the condensor line as the radiator does in the coolant system. When your a/c is running this line is cool and the fan runs only when needed. When the a/c is off the line gets hot and usually turns on with the radiator fan. Yes this is normal, Steven.
