SCASEYS
Figured I might as well throw it out there to be picked over. I have a 99 L 30th Anniversary Edition sedan in Spruce Pearl(Green) 229,000 on the body, rust in the usual areas(wheel wells mostly) Automatic transmission is newer, replaced with a lower milage from Car-Part.com as the original was slipping at the top of 2nd gear. It has a phase 2 single port 2.2L block with 2.5L heads(easier to source) As I am one of the lucky guys who actually killed a 2.2. What I am trying to get at is what is the motor worth? It is NA so is it of any value as a spare to others with blown 2.5 turbo engines? I read the "Frankenmotors" hold compression better/higher. Is that accurate? As far as the rest of the car, JDM headlights and fogs, amber sidemarkers with unfinished trim(black). I swapped in leather rear seats 60/40 and heated OUTBACK fronts w/ the swithces. I never did hook up the seats but I have the switches for the center console. I already sold the JDM tails and RFRB grill. Thanks for taking the time to look, I will post some pics later. need JDM lighting? side markers and RFRB grill I donated to LegacyGT.com which allows me to have this nifty signature. octain11
"Frankenmotor" build is very expensive for what you get in return, it is not worth, there will just be more damage. How many miles on the block and the heads?
SCASEYS
block has 229,000 heads unknown I'm just trying to figure out what to do with this car. I think that I will sell it as is for $2500.00 OBO as a fixer upper I really enjoy driving it still but it has to go. I have all the service records/receipts, the body work is too much for me Time to let it go I donated to LegacyGT.com which allows me to have this nifty signature.
