Seems like a pretty sweet car...but I dount it'll keep me from the Legacy. Thoughts? Peace, Dave
gtguy Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Who knows? The Mazda 6 is a very nice car. Mazda can't give the things away, though. Fleet sales are helping the car's numbers a lot, which was how I got to experience one: as a Hertz rental. Those concepts have a way of getting diluted. There's also that 300hp, AWD Cosworth Focus that this market will never see. It will be interesting, to say the least. That Mazda 6 wagon is a great-looking car, except for the rear, which makes me gag every time I see one. Kevin
SUBE555 Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 All comments true. But it's a concept, the Leggy is here now. Enjoy it while it's here. The concept could be several years off if ever. We know how that flies. Speaking of diluted concepts, me thinks ST-X to Baja, Supercharged 2.5L to N/A 2.5L blah.
Ed328Ci Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 There has bee a Mazdasport 6 rumour, since the introduction of the 6. I hope that really does get produced though. Ed
SUBE555 Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Competition is generally good to spur competition and better the products while keeping prices relatively competitive. :)
Dr. Zevil Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 I would love to have a mazdaspeed 3 with AWD.. but I won't hold my breath. Would make an awesome second car though!
evolutionmovement Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 An AWD turbo Mazdaspeed 3 would be awesome, but I don't know if they have the rep or cred to move enough to justify it. Another 323 GTX - great car, but how many did they sell? I do like the chances Mazda's been taking and the direction with their products have been pretty much for the best. Their biggest problem is getting people to know them for more than the Miata or RX's. Mitsubishi's in a similar situation but they have no product or recognition (the low-volume, selective-appeal Evolution excepted) Steve
