fog lights install in 95 legacy ls sedan

It might be. I've combed over a lot of subarus at the salvage yard to figure this out. The L models don't. The LSi models usually have the wiring in place. However it is a separate wiring harness and not integrated into the main harness. I have only come across one 95 second gen LS that had the wiring in place, but it also had the fog lights already installed and the wiring was integrated.

 

Look where the fogs would go and see if the plugs are there. Also look at the rubber plug in the middle of the firewall and you might see a black wiring harness going through it. Finally, the 96 LSi that I found with the separate wiring harness had the fog light switch installed, although the actual fogs were not installed.

Grimm, is your L an OB or did you add an OB bumper to your L?

 

Zundapp, you probably have the wiring for the fogs. The 96 LSi that I snatched my wiring harness from had a sunroof and fog wiring.

 

I'm figuring out how to use a stock fog light switch connected to the battery with a relay so I have stock switches but completely independent fogs.

I only see the fuse for the fog lights in the relay panel. Have ordered a oem switch. and oem style fog lights from flea-bay. have wireing schematics from a legacy manual shouldn't be too hard-rewired my XS650 from scratch and have plenty of jegs wiring left over. also plan on installing H.I.D. kit on original Head lights. Have sylvania ultra halogens in now,but they don't last long. H.I.D.'s supposed to have a 5,000+ hr life. Working night shift and driveing threw rural areas with lots of deer I really need good lights. Thanks fellas for all your input.

Don't run hids with ur stock headlights they suck!!! It's worthless in the rain and snow. Can't see nothing. And it's because of the reflective housing. If u want to go hid look into jdm headlights or retrofitting so the hid can have a focused beam instead of a scattered shot

The small fogs are projectors. But I have heard that they can't handle HIDs. I don't know this from experience, it's just what I have read. I have also been told that JDM projectors don't do well with HIDs since they bubble the chrome inside, but I have been running HIDs in my JDM projectors with no problems. I'd do a little more research to be safe.

Depends on what hid u put in it. I'd go 3k or 3000k I forget how they rate the the bulbs. But it'll be as low as u wanna go. Itll be yellow

 

 

3000k is the warmth of the color for the bulb. in contrast, 3000k is yellow, 6000k is pretty much pure white. 8000k is blue (and annoying). the system will either be a 35watt or a 55 watt bulb for the power needs. im going to assume that the crappy chrome inside the projectors cant take the heat of the 55w bulbs, but honestly i have a set of cheap projectors on my daughters civic and there is no issues at all with 55w heating up too much.

I second this. I'm running 6000k and 35w hids. Reflective housing for the headlights. Dangerous, shitty during Rain and snow, but looks good..... Just not when other drivers are looking at it lol
