vq35 swapped spec-v vs legacy gt...

Recommended Posts

i already know the outcome before it happens, i used to be a spec-v guy myself. was my favorite car ever until my legacy gt...

anyway, one of my buddys from the old sentra site i was on met up with last week, and we started talking cars, and told him about my car, current mods, and future mods...

then he showed me a pic, he finally got his b15 sentra(2002-2006) swapped with a vq35(fwd maxima engine)....

he then asked to race me, i had to shake my head and decline, i didnt want to get embarassed....

with i/h/e, a vq sentra runs low 13's high 12's depending on driver...

My cousin has a Spec-V partially built, definitely does feel cheapish on the inside, but it's a fun track car, especially with the brembos.

I eat V-TECH and VQ's for snacks.

My 7 month old loves to eat v-tech

despite dohcstuner's response. you would get worked. have a freind who has one for a dd aside from his 600+ hp s4. its was very very quick.

i know i would, i owned one....my built sentra was faster then my legacy gt, but my legacy gt is stock as of now...

All that and only a 93 mph trap.

Someone had money to burn. I bet leaving the front bumper and windshield in place would help with aero and net a high speed haha. I dont think weight was the issue at the point, it was pushing a bunch of flat pieces of metal through the air.

What are your mods? Low 13's doesnt seem like something out of the range of a stg 2 LGT. I ran a 13.4 Intake, tune, TBE and i suck.

currently i have cat-less dp...deciding whats next...

i was a huge spec-v sentra guy before, i had one of 4-5 only known 200+ whp n/a sentras around....i didnt have the vq35 swap, i had a stock block qr25 engine... 3 angle valve job, cams, safc-2, intake manifold ported, throttle body ported, i/h/e, under drive pulley, nology wires, intake manifold spacer, throttle body spacer....it was an n/a 4 cyl that got 18 mpg haha

Nice, I was a fan of the Spec V sentra's back then. I decided to go with the RSX-S and I'm glad I did. That thing was fast and fun as hell to drive.

I had 225whp with bolt on's and a tune and could still manage 27 mpg mixed.

Awesome little engine that K20 was.
