BX77
I have been searching but could not find the answer that I need, I want to change out my uppipe, I have a 05 STI up pipe, but for visual reasons I would like to have a OEM with the EGT sensor hooked up. Is there a year STI/Legacy that have this?

Is there a year STI/Legacy that have this? the oem one has is catted....i read when i joined here that cat breaks apart and gets sucked into the turbo, cat-less upppipe is way safer/better....sti is cat-less, just leave that in there.... as far as the egt sensor goes, there is a sticky about the egt resistor mod that allows you to trick the signal witha radio shack resistor. 05-07 legacies have the cat with the uppipe... Nolmers06LGT
Maybe its just me, but your question is unclear. Why, visually, would you go with a different UP than the OEM STI UP that you already have? You don't need the EGT anyway- it could take out your turbo, too.. If you're going catless UP, you might as well delete the EGT probe and do the resistor mod.
Nolmers06LGT
If you really want one, I have a stock UP I would love to get rid of..
Max Capacity
Radio Shack sells a 5 pack of the 2.2k ohm resistor. Just ask the guy at the conter, they are $1.25. Stick one in the connector where the egt probe comes out of. Take the up pipe to NAPA and find a bolt that will plug the hole where the probe went. Or get a custom tune that deletes the CEL for no egt. You don't want the car on the stock map any way's, it has a timing flaw can cause burnt valves. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/dangerous-cylinder-trims-5th-gen-lgts-193842.html Its the same in the 4th gens. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. BX77
My engine was replaced by SOA, the Cobb Stage 1 map that was on it, and is still there. I would like To keep the visual the same in case I have to bring it back, Not seeing the EGT wire hooked up, they may turn around and say ,BLAH, BLAH,BLAH, I know all about the the resistor mod, or using the AP to clear the code

RabidWombat
What about a catless UP from a 08-09? Not sure if those have the sensor location though.
