Silinc3r's 05 GT SWP

So recently started having issues boosting and hearing a kind of whistle noise. I was helping a friend diagnose an issue with his 07GT and swapped BCS to see if that would help. It was the next day that I started to hear it. I am at stage 2 running 16-17 PSI and now I am only hitting 10 PSI. No codes and AFRs are good. Logs look good just down on power/PSI. I switched the BCS back, reset the ECU and it didn't resolve the issue. I just got another stock TMIC and it has been "BP" so I know it isn't the TMIC.

So I have rechecked all my hoses. The blue tee has been replaced and zip tied see above. And the TB hose has been replaced see above. Today I removed the DP and everything looked good on the turbine section. No cracks and no oil. Spun freely and not a lot of play. On the DP however, I did notice where the flange is to the turbo to small cracks where I could see light through. Would that be large enough to keep me from hitting 16 PSI and cause the whistle? It is after the turbo so that could be why no codes or funny driving.

So after writing this I feel it may indeed be the downpipe. I just can't believe that would be enough. But it is after the last step of the turbocharger process so that would make sence of why it isn't making it hard to drive. So get it fixed somehow, JB weld or buy new DP?

So finally debadged and rebadged the car. Closer to full Spec B. Also got an engine dress up hardware kit, something I've always wanted to do.

Was going to repain the bottom part of the bar BBS gold but forgot the middle is already that color. Wondering if it would be to much to paint the middle the same as the rims and paint the bottoms the gold color.

So, tell us!! Was it the DP that was leaking? What'd ya do?

Well believe it or not haven't gotten it solved. I have an actuator I am going to put on and see if that is what is causing the issue.

After I thought about having a crack there would only really effect noise. The turbo has already made the power or boost at that point. I will probably get another DP at some point though.

Ok, cause when I saw you wrote it was difficult to drive, an alarm went off, I was thinking do you have a full atmo BOV? Cause I was getting decent boost but a huge rev-drop after acceleration and it just made shifting extremely inconvenient. (With my hks full atmo) I got a GFB adjustable bov and the rev drop went down a bit but it's still not driving like the day I bought it over a year ago. I'm wondering what kind of problems you're noticing when driving

It isn't difficult to drive it just doesn't boost to the targeted boost of 16/17 psi. It boost right up to 10 psi with no issues like it was set to it. I believe it is the actuator. I have disconnected the line and it will only hit 13 psi. So I feel the turbo is good just maybe the actuator went bad some how.

Ok, so swapped the actuators and that didn't help. I'll be switching the EBCS soon and see if that solves it.

Also installed the BaysonR front lip, JDM aero spats, RRev switchback turn signals with relay, RRev reverse lights and RRev licence plate lights and did an oil change.....

All right another new video, this time at the 1/8th mile

Just realized I never mentioned what I believe is wrong with the boost issue. Found out my header is leaking at the EGT sensor. So I'll be pulling it out and plugging it.

So started tearing the brakes off and low and behold I bought 5X114.3 rotors yay!!!. So now I have to wait to get the correct ones shipped in. Unless I get lucky and the local shop has some 5X100 laying around.

And to add some more suspense, I am supposed to be moving out of this house by the 30th haha.
