00LegacyGT Posted July 21, 2005 Share Posted July 21, 2005 I have a 2000 Legacy gt with 77,000 miles on it. i have replaced the rotors about 15,000 miles ago with DBA cross drilled and slotted rotors. I purchsed Hawk HPS pads do go with my new rotors. just reciently i have started to notice the smell of brakes when i get out of the car. so i think it is the pads right? so i take apart the caliper and notice that i have about 50% of the pad left. these are very good pads and they havent given me any trouble befor. i am going to get my brakes turned and the put back on today. Hopefually that will solve the stink, but does anyone have any idea why it started to stink in the first place. And it hasnt been under heavy braking conditions, i have been carefull.
