Where im at now...

custom isc coilovers

avo rear sway

Custom aero partially done splitter, canards, diffuser all in constant evolution

295/35-18's on 18x10.25 all four corners

vf52, header, hand built exhaust, bigger top mount, blah, blah motor still isn't my focus

spare tire well removed in preparation for new rear diffuser

various custom bracing and mounts

omp seat, 6 point harness, airbag delete

other stuff i don't really care about mentioning

--------------

So im getting to a point where i'm comfortable with the progress of my obxt that i can stop lurking and start showing my car. the direction i'm going was hard for my friends to understand even knowing my past builds untill just lately and i fear it would have been worse over the net.

Anyways the idea is to build a somewhat competitive time attack car (but mostly just for fun, laughs and respect).

Im not going for high numbers or really wanting much out of the cars motor. i Have mostly what i want for now as far as power. my past racing experience has done nothing but make me care less and less about horsepower.

The car is still very very far from where i want the car to be. alot of very important things remain to be done and whats done right now means almost nothing to me.

hks 3in dp

custom 3in dp back exhaust

rough 18lb tune

18x10 +30 with 275/35-18 dunlop sport 01's

springs for setting everything up height wise

custom canards (more to come)

apr splitter

blah blah theres not much done so its not important whats done now, still have coilovers to be made and brakes to build and roll cage and.....

anyways here's a couple pictures where shes at. crap for pics right now, there with my phone.

Building a car for respect is usually a good way to go.

I'm just a little confused. You have an Outback with relatively little engine work done (a rough tune and an unfavorable downpipe), adjustable height springs (which means suspension geometry is entirely incorrect), and absurdly wide wheels/tires? And aero mods that have no functional validation for being there besides "they will probably do something"?

Am I missing something?

So the suspension geometry is only correct at the stock skyscraper height?

Are you joking?

That must explain why my Outback handled so much better on stock suspension than the coilovers

Still joking?

Bac your totally correct haha. The suspension has a lot of reworking to be done. Like I said the springs are there for checking clearance on different parts but a lot will be changed from where its at now. And the aero is, as all aero work done without a wind tunnel a " this feels best " process that will take time to set up. The aero still has a lot of work as well. Blocking plates for above it and a flat bottom is in the works plus a rather extensive reworking of the rear end for a 2 layer diffuser. I'm aware it is not even close to track ready right now hence my being hesitant to start a thread this soon haha.
