andy3080
I'm going to be doing a full tune-up on my girlfriends 94 legacy LS. And I was wondering am I able to use E3 spark plugs to make it run a little better and maybe some better gas mileage? If its not a good idea to use E3 plugs what kind should I use? Thanks ahead of time for the feedback from all.
dark_thorns
i'm not entirely sure what e3 plugs are, but the only plugs i've ever used are iridium. a but expensive, but well worth the money.
johnegg
the spec plug is a NGK that costs about $2 each. this is for the ej22. the better plug spec-ed for the ej25 engine is primarily a longer lasting plug. this is due to how hard it is to change them. so stick with the cheap ones unless you are a building a race engine. spend the extra money on subaru or other VERY HIGH quality wires. the ej25s are picky about wirs. cheap ones have been known to cause misfires right out of the box. ej22s are less picky but but why risk it. I Donated broknindarkagain Posted August 20, 2012 I Donated Share Posted August 20, 2012 Don't waste money on E3 plugs. Just cause they are expensive and the box says they are good does not mean that they are good. They are junk. Stick with NGK or Denso plugs. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
