roundthirteen
I know this might be more of a transmission section question but I wanted to hear from 4g guys on it. The oem clutch on my 08 Spec B is starting to slip (73,000 miles) and I was wondering what clutches have worked for you guys? The car is my daily driver and I take it to test and tune maybe a half dozen times a year. It has all the stage II stuff on it (AP, DP, CBE) and I don't have any plans of adding power in the near future. I used an ACT clutch on another car I had and loved it but they're damn expensive. Should I just pop for a new OEM and call it a day? Also can you resurface a single mass flywheel or does that need to be changed? Any help is appreciated. My car's not a sleeper it's a hibernator. http://pure-tuning.com
OutbackXT05
Single masses are resurfacable. Ive been running a exedy replacement clutch with my single mass for a year and a half now with at least 100 5.5k launch control launches and its still grabbing just fine. This was at ots stage 2 then protuned for a majority of the time. I even burned it up a few times because for a month i completely forgot how to lauch my car. Im gonna be putting a fx300 in once i go bigger turbo.
