kirk83
Hey guys a friend of mine has 3 cases 0-20 full synthetic oil. Do u guys recommend using this type of oil since it might be too thin?
Max Capacity
IMO to thin. gibbons98legacygt
To thin that's for subaru's new low friction engines not turbos!!!!
08 LGT
You want 5w-30, 10w-30, or 10w-40.
iv_05gt
I personally find that my legacy likes to drink 5w30 (then again its probably due to my poor driving habits) I have found that 5w40 burns off a bit slower. I'm sure that i'm closing in on needing a short block. Given the potential for issues w/ our cars I feel that running a thin oil is the last thing you want to do. (MAYBE in the winter) but definitely not in the summer. but IMO way way way to thin. (my prius uses 0w20)

outahere
If it never gets above 40 degF where you live, and none of your trips are longer than 15 minutes, then this would be a great oil to use.

gimpydingo
I agree Rotella! I've read just about every oil thread on here and other forums. Rotella seems to be the best. Even when I hit 3750 miles the car still wants to go. Mobile 1 by the time I hit 2500 miles the car would be sluggish due to the shear. I switch my wifes 07 Impreza 2.5i with 87000 to rotella as well. The car is far happier during our 50 mile one way commute.
