SilverGSX
So I finally got around to putting coilovers in my 99 LGT Wagon Upside: it looks awesome Downide: it rides like it's on cut springs These aren't crappy coilovers and they're not blown. Setup: Stance GR + Pro Coilovers Swapped stock LGT tophats on the fronts, was able to use their adjustable tophats for the rear. Adjusted preload to 0, put dampening to middle of the road and lowered correctly with the bottom perch. The car isn't slammed. It bounces like crazy and I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong here. Plenty of people run cars real low with these without this issue. Any ideas? I Donated broknindarkagain Posted August 13, 2012 I Donated Share Posted August 13, 2012 Stance GR + Pro Coilovers Why did you put on coilovers? For performance or looks? -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." I Donated broknindarkagain Posted August 14, 2012 I Donated Share Posted August 14, 2012 Coilovers are naturally "bouncy" when compared to stock suspension. Ride in another Subaru with coilovers so you have something to compare to. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." SilverGSX
I have lots of friends (subaru and non-subaru), and had help installing/adjusting these by a friend who had a wrx wagon with BC coilovers and it was not nearly this bouncy. It feels like cut springs, not a stiff coilover suspension.
