G5892
Hey guys. I looking at getting an EWG setup in about a month, but I just had some questions. I currently switched to a 1mm restrictor pill when I got my FMIC, and I was wondering if I needed a EBCS when I go EWG. Will I be ok with the restrictor pill, or do I need to switch over? Thanks for the help.

ChefRacer
I would say go ebcs no matter. Stock bcs sucks. GM Ebcs is less than $50 shipped with 2 simple wires to clip/reconnect. Took me about 15 min to install.
G5892
Where'd you find one less than 50$?

iNVAR
Hey Chef, does your GM BCS click? If not, I'd like to know where and how you mounted it. I believe mine is clicking.... rather annoying under boost. Thanks.
ChefRacer
I zip tied it to the stock location, it doesnt click at all. Not that I can hear at least, and my exhaust is relatively stock sounding with stock mufflers on a 3" stainless dp/mid/Y. My intake/stock bpv is louder
G5892
This is the exact one I need? If so thanks!!
iNVAR
I wonder if I should just zip tie mine. Right now, it's actually bolted to my stock location, and I believe it's clicking. I'm using a rubber grommet there too. Hmm... will have to experiment I guess.
ChefRacer
I think mine is actually upside down too, works great though Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
G5892
What wires need to be cut?
ChefRacer
The two wires that go to the stock bcs, I used crimp connectors to make the new connection. Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
iNVAR
Or if you don't want to cut the stock connector off, I can link you to the pigtails that you actually need. I'm at work right now so I don't have the items off the top of my head, but I will post it later.
G5892
Yes can you send that link when you have a chance. Did yours come with all the hoses and everything? Id like to do this all at once.
iNVAR
No, for hoses I got these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-8-inch-3mm-Black-Silicone-Vacuum-Tube-Hose-1m-meter-3-3FT-/290759975671?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43b2a522f7&vxp=mtr For the connectors: http://www.szabaga.com/store/diyconn.html You want the ones labeled: GM BCS Connector Item# GM CONN , Select: 6" Pigtail EVO BCS Connector Item# BCS CONN , Select: 6" Pigtail You splice the pigtails together and now you have an adapter that allows the GM BCS to connect to the stock connector. No need to cut any of your stock wiring. It's definitely cheaper to do it by just cutting the stock harness though.
