Shello007
Have you guys heard of this product? Anyone has an opinion? is it 'snake oil'? http://www.xado.co.uk/
I Donated Too sigmafour Posted August 11, 2012 I Donated Too Share Posted August 11, 2012 replace the words Slick 50 awith the word Xado and despite the different chemistry in the product all the reviews and debates between people about it will read largely the same. more often it's a lot more marketing hype than solid science around products like this and they generally polarize people between those that believe they work vs those that dismiss it out of hand and won't ever try it. There's always plausible science behind the ideas but what really happens in the engine and the real world subjective testing by those that use it and justify the missing money in their wallet will be your only measure. s long as a product doesn't have too many side effects all you end up doing is wasting your money but I'd be careful to understand products that may end up doing more harm than good by being a poor substitute for actual real oil. There's some interesting debates about this product already online... http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=110873 I'd be wary of trusting us Brits... did we create this latest batch of liquid engineering? I'd be careful about that for a start! We don't have a great track record with cars, sure we have some fantastic ideas and designs and there's some exceptions out there but largely the execution and long term reliability of stuff leaves a lot to be desired. bluesuby
Frequent changes with a quality synthetic oil and you won't think about this stuff. I don't think any liquid will repair damage done by neglect.

Lol. As a person with 'British' heritage myself, I was actually leaning towards giving acceptance to the product's credibility. I've never used Lucas on my Subaru's and I've lost two engines mysteriously using Marvel's Mystery oil..(no pun intended). But you gotta hand it to 'us' Brits. We're responsible for lovely products such as: the FQ Mitsu EVO series, Prodrive, FORD Cosworth & Cortina, and last but not least...scones:p. Nevertheless, you drive home some very good points. Thanks for the response. No XADO pour moi...
