Rainier Beer
Well, like the title says. I have a '92 Legacy Wag, and on all settings the blower motor will not do nothing. I replaced the motor with a junk yard one to try and save 70 bucks. Still nothing. I'm not sure if this is normal, but the electric fan is blowing when the heat/ac is turned on. Any help would be great. Bryan
Legacy Wagon
I'm pretty sure it's your ac panel. That black square on your dash to the right of the steering wheel above the cigarette lighter port. Remove it and play with the connector that's back there. If it turns on then it's probably that connector. If it doesn't you could pull the AC panel and see if some of the solders are bad. Rainier Beer
Are you talking the Height button? When I check the voltage at the connector that hooks to the blower itself, its getting a reading of about .
Legacy Wagon
Yours has a height adjustment button next to the steering wheel? Pics? I dont know crap about voltage or really anything electrical. I mainly do stuff by messing with connectors if something's not functioning properly like that. Is .24 a bad rating?
Rainier Beer
What is the height button even for? I will work on getting a picture, if it will help. I replaced all 4 relays in the engine compartment and still nothing. .24 seems real low to me. I would think the fan would need closer 2 12 volts to run, rather then .24 Bryan
Legacy Wagon
I would assume something to do with an air ride suspension or maybe a headlight height adjuster, but I've always had the standard struts so I didnt even know the US models came with anything in that port. Does the button seem to do anything? Pics probably wouldn't help, but I'm curious about it. I'll ask my friend Bryan. He knows a lot more about electrical work than me. scoobydoo73
I saw a wagon with a height button at pick and pull a couple weeks ago. I believe it was an option for air shocks that lowered the car at high speeds and was manually adjustable for off roading.
rideredmx
Replace your AC fuses big black ones under the Hood and up above your fuse box inside the car. Replace them all to be safe. Mine did the same thing. And the height button is to adjust. Your front struts height for off road. They are garbage tho I just pulled them out and put aftermarket struts way better.
